on the morning of the rental I sent a message to Michelle to confirm we would be there that afternoon. She told me that they were painting the apartment we rented but would give me the apartment in the lower level. (That is not listed on VRBO) because it was the morning of departure I said ok and she assured me it was as nice as the one I rented. Upon arrival it was difficult to locate because there were wreaths over the address. Once we entered we were extremely disappointed because the internet was down because of non payment according to the message we got when trying to sign in. I sent a message and the next morning she answered and got the internet reinstated. The apartment was nothing like what I had booked. It needed a really good cleaning, there were people in the upstairs apartment all night walking around, a dog that barked they was no painting going on someone was living or renting the apartment above that we had reserved. The walls were dirty and there was toothpaste on the hand towel. Michelle was very nice but we were very dissapointed in our stay, it felt like a bait and switch or kind of scamish the way we were shuffled around and told that the apartment above was being painted.

Owner was lovely to work with. House was clean and warm when we arrived. Quick responses and so close to the hospital. It made the experience of having someone undergo major surgery significantly lighter not having to worry about our housing!

The property could use a good cleaning. There were a lot of worn down/broken things. Many of the windows did not have screens, so you could not open them. Saturday a stranger came in and ask when we were checking out, because she had it booked for Saturday and Sunday. We had it booked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She showed us her text exchange with Michelle. In the text exchange she was given the door code and told it was available for her during the time we were there.. but we showed our confirmation from Vrbo. She apologized and left saying she did not mean to barge in, clearly she was given bad information on availablity and left to scramble to find a space for 6 people. I hope she got her money back. I would not stay again because of the double booking issues and it just was a bit run down.

Location across from a park, and walkability to downtown were the best things about this property. Check in was easy. With a generous update and refresh, some TLC and detailed cleaning this has the potential to be a cozy and inviting place to stay.

Great place for our short stay

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night with our two kids while on a long road trip to visit family. This was a great place and we will consider it the next time we stop in Grand Rapids.

Great Place and Great Communication!

My family and I came in to catch a ballgame at LMCU Ballpark and had the pleasure of staying here for the night. Communication with host was stellar; extremely friendly and accommodating. Place was fantastic. I promise I'm not just saying this next part....but they quite seriously had THE best bed's I have EVER encountered in a rental, hotel, you name it. As Dad, I usually get stuck with the crappy mattress or pull-out. Here...EVERY bed was incredible.Very clean, easy parking and access, and nearby to quite a bit. My kids also loved being directly across the street from a park, which we ended up frequenting a few times.

Concert in the City

We only stayed one night. We were just there to sleep, but the house was spacious. A lot of stairs to climb, but it was fine. I noticed a park of some sort across the road. Great for kids to play. We didn’t walk downtown we took a 5 uber/lyft. However I think we could have walked without crossing the highway. I’d definitely stay again. Very reasonable price.

Good for a short stay

We stayed just one night and the place is fine for that. The price reflects the option nicely. This suited us well for a one-neigh stay in Grand Rapids, a marvelous city. The home is in a pleasant neighborhood.
