Overall the hotel was very nice but our suite smelled like sewer gas when we arrived and we had to switch rooms. We had to downgrade because a suite was not available. We were hoping they would offer us money back for the inconvenience but they said they couldn’t. That was disappointing considering we got the suite for a reason so we had as much space as possible.

The breakfast was lacking. Coffee was not restocked. The rest of the hotel was clean, staff was pleasant and rooms were comfortable and quiet. Really liked how close it was to shopping and restaurants. Would stay there again and mineshaft had a wonderful breakfast buffet that was affordable right night door.

There were only 3 other cars in the parking lot and we were given the worst rooms on a very busy, loud street! The last night my dad didn't get any sleep because people were running around on the floors above him like a herd of elephants. No late checkout was possible either and no other customers were even there.

Walking distance, 1/2 block, to downtown Hartford which is a cute small town/city. Clean, self serve breakfast had a nice choice of hot & cold foods. In town for a wedding so we did not try the restaurant nor bar.

Stayed here before and after a family gathering at Pike Lake. Conveniently located. Plenty of parking. Kids enjoyed the small, salty pool. Very decent breakfast with plenty of options.
