Cozy cabin in the Hills

Sunset Trails Cabin was updated for the 2022 season and under new management. The cabin has 3 bedrooms with new queen beds on a split level ( the loft is no longer in use ). One bedroom leads to a large deck with a beautiful view. It has two 3/4 bathrooms, full kitchen, gas fireplace, deck with gas grill, and a washer and dryer. Sunset Trails is located 10 minutes from Hill City on roughly 2 miles of gravel road (guests on motorcycles please take note of the gravel road). Its walking distance from the Mickelson Trail and about 20 minutes from Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. For those of you that like to stay connected you do have cell service here. It is spotty in some areas so please pull up the map and directions before heading to the house. This home is in a neighborhood so those of you that bring ATV/UTVs please be considerate of the road and the neighbors.

Gem in the Black Hills
Great location just outside of Hill City. Host was easy to reach and very helpful. Plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out and having two bathrooms was great. Would stay there again!

Very clean, great location
We really enjoyed the stay. If you follow the directions provided, you drive right to the cabin. It was very clean with a great back patio and deck which we took advantage of in the evenings. Hill City is about 5 minutes away and we went to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. All easy drives. We'd stay here again.

Family trip to the Black Hills
This place is great! We had a really nice time at this cabin and it was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Our boys (4 & 7 years old) had a blast playing baseball in back yard and exploring the abundance of forest that surrounded us. The location of the cabin is perfect, just a few minutes outside of Hill City. We didn't know it but the location put us in the heart of everything with Rushmore, Custer, Jewel Cave, Reptile Gardens, Crazy Horse, etc. all just about a 20 minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again, cheers to Dulce & Mike for being great hosts!

Great place in Hill City
Communication with the host is A+! She was very helpful and fast to reply. The map she sent to get to the house was one of the most accurate I’ve ever seen, it was perfect. The house was immaculately clean and ready for our arrival. It had everything you’d need for a stay, all in great condition. I highly recommend this location and host if you’re in the area!

Very nice place to stay just not recommended for motorcycle or Rally lodging.
The property itself was beautiful however, the directions were misleading and rental was hard to find. Not motorcycle/non 4 wheel drive/trailer friendly. Due to the condition of road/goat path, we had to find off site bike parking in Hill City which added additional cost and inconvenience.
