Enjoy a relaxing spring, summer, or fall getaway in our brand new 1 BR Acadia Cottage at the head of Jenkins Beach! Includes 200' of sandy freshwater beach, swimming in pristine Green Lake, 2 water trampolines, a swimming float, new docks for your boat, canoe & kayak access, and some of the best fishing in Maine. Perfect for couples or small families!

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The Acadia is a perfect Maine lake rental for couples looking to get away, small families with one or two young kids, or solo guests who want privacy and relaxation. In general, we have a maximum occupancy of TWO adults and TWO younger children. We will consider bookings for THREE adults in special circumstances.

Jenkins Beach is a private recreational use lakefront property located on Green Lake in Dedham, Maine. The Jenkins family has owned the beach since 1940, and over the years thousands have visited to enjoy the pristine wonder of Green Lake. Last year, Julie bought the business from her father and we have engaged in extensive renovations of the property.

In addition to completely revitalizing and modernizing the camps, we have also hired an environmental consultant to assist in our landscaping and cleanup plan that centers native flora, supports local fauna, and helps ensure the ecological health of the lake for the future.

The beach includes over 200’ of sandy lakefront access. We have 34 canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards and multiple docks for guests to use. We also contract with a local boat rental agency if guests wish to rent a pontoon boat for the day or week.

The entire property has high-speed WiFi coverage, the camps all have multiple SmartTVs, there is plenty of free parking, and we can accommodate EV charging as well.

The swimming at Jenkins Beach is unparalleled (where guests can enjoy our two water trampolines and docks), the deep waters of Green Lake offer some of the best fishing in New England, and the fall foliage in the area is absolutely spectacular. We are also located just 27 miles from the natural wonders of Acadia National Park.

The beach remains closed to the public as we complete projects here on the property. This means that guests enjoy the unique experience of having a one-of-a-kind private beach on a lake in Maine during their stay.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great time catching up with relatives in the area while relaxing on the beach. The host were friendly & available to answer questions upon our arrival & during our stay. We really loved seeing the ducks & the loons on the lake. There were also a lot of Monarch butterflies on the beach daily which were beautiful. In the evening the moon shining on the water was an awesome way to end the day

I was very impressed by the cottage. Well stocked and very clean with thoughtful stocking of cookware, linens and even doggie bed, bowls and biscuits. We left our pooch at home but our dog would have been very comfortable at the cottage with all the dog friendliness. Owners are extremely personable, easy to reach and responsive. We loved seeing their 2 black labs every day and visiting with them. The beach is nice and clean. Plenty of kayaks, canoes with life jackets etc. Highly recommend staying here and we will be back in the future!

Don't Stay Here!!!!

Jenkins Beach is not very big and if you stay here, then it'll be harder for me to get in. I'm going back because it's by far the nicest place in the area. It has the nicest beach on any lake in the area, and all the water toys to make a great vacation. The cabins are SPOTLESS, and nicer than our friends' places who live on Green Lake. The screened in porches were a surprise treat I didn't even know I was missing! And for the one day that got above 80, there was even a/c.
