Location was beautiful! Just a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6â tall We had a great time there , and the owners were very helpful to us ⊠We will definitely plan another stay here !
A great place to stay. Super clean. It was tight with our dogs, but we were barely there, so it wasnât a real issue. Loved being able to walk down to the water.
Overall stay in the Moose Cabin was great! Cabin was cute and comfortable! Maybe do away with large dressers in each bedroom and go with smaller night stands leave a little walking room on each side of the bed. Crawling over a bed mate isn't easy for us older guests. Lol But will definitely come again.
Overall I had a good time at the lake, The details were accurate about the cabin but something's that I wish we knew prior. Dock is only 1.7 to 2 ft deeps. If you don't have tilt you will bottom out which we did every time. extremely windy so fishing wasrough. Also TV is really tiny but it does work. Again just nitpicking but I really good experience not good
We stayed in the Moose cabin, it was clean upon checkin and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and peaceful. There were kayaks we could take out and boats that we could rent for the day. My three year old loved spending time at the little beach, both the water and the beach was clean. The location was a decent place to take day trips from, like Mackinaw, Petoskey, Traverse City and Frankenmuth. We decided that as long as this place stays open, we will make it our place to stay when we visit Michigan.
My wife and I wanted to get away from all the hustle and concerns from world we live in. Celebrating our 42 anniversary made a perfect excuse to get a hideaway for a few days. We really enjoyed all the little details in the cabin and it definitely felt like home away from home. We were slightly disappointed in sure every thing was like it was when we arrived. Wouldn't there be a cleaning staff for getting it all spiffy again? But we still took the time to do the full cleanup that was requested. Thanks we still had a great time!!
There was so much to love about this property! The location was amazing and arrival and departure were so easy. I only wish that the TV worked a little better and that the shower was a little taller because, at 6'2" I had to bend over. Overall a great stay and I definitely recommend it.
The cabin was very clean. It had everything we needed.
For a family of 4 with 2 little dogs, it was a little tight. During my trip I found out there is another property they own that is bigger so we may get that one next time.
The beach was a little small but very easy access to the lake.
My kids and dogs had a blast. The fishing boats are available for rent and we had a great time taking a ride on Houghton Lake.
The other guests were very nice.
Tom was amazing and extra flexible. We had a family emergency and not only was he very understanding, but he offered us a discounted rate to stay one extra day. He was awesome to deal with.
Itâs a very peaceful place with beautiful sunsets.
Will definitely stay there again
