The Fox Hollow close to Glacier Park
Come stay in this cute & quirky little cottage in the beautiful community of Hungry Horse MT. This historical cottage was built in the 1940's; the floors aren't level, the ceilings are low with no interior doors but the bed is comfortable, the water is hot & free wifi make this so much more fun and memorable than a stuffy motel room! Equipped with a full kitchen. Small front yard with a bbq grill & gas firepit to relax by after your day of exploring.
Close to Glacier NP West entrance, grocery store. Cute cabin. All the necessities provided. Comfortable bed. Nice little yard with chairs to relax in outside. Only negative is that it smells musty. Host very prompt to respond. Overall a good value.
The inside was as shown in the advertised photos and the outside also looked like the photo. But the area, or neighborhood, was pretty sketchy. Did not make you feel comfortable? Inside the air conditioning worked, but it was very noisy. The good was you are just 10 minutes outside the park and Lacota responded every time we had a question.
Great location to the park and surrounding towns with all the amenities you could need to be comfortable! The property manager was also wonderful and communicative!
The location was great! So close to West Entrance, we often went to Glacier twice a day (early am and after 3pm.) The cabin was comfortable retreat after long days of hiking, horseback riding and rafting. Most evenings we cooked our dinner and sat outside by the firepit with a bottle of wine. Very relaxing view of the mountains nearby. Highly recommend!
The proximity to GNP is the best selling feature. You wonât look out any of the window and see anything of interest. The doorways are very low. My husband is 6â2â and hit his head the first night. His mantra for the rest of the visit was âstay low, stay low, stay lowâ. There is only one tv in the bedroom- we werenât there to watch tv but our habit is to flip in on when we get up, wind down etc. One in the main room would have been nice. As mentioned in other reviews, there are no doors on the bedroom or bathroom. It is not a long drive for groceries or restaurants. If you are looking for a place just to sleep, then this is fine. I would choose something a little bigger (and with more amenities) if I had to do it over again.
We had a good stay at Fox Hollow. It is in a great location close to West Glacier. There are several restaurants in town, and the grocery store was reasonably priced. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The fresh bread and huckleberry taffy were nice touches. It was a good bargain.
This cottage was perfect for our needs. We went hiking at GNP for four days. Had a delicious loaf of freshly baked sour dough bread that was provided for us. Would definitely recommend if you needed a place to stay in the park area. Great communication. The place was spotless when we arrived.
We had a great stay at Fox Hollow. Everything was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. The location at Hungry Horse is exactly what you need to see Glacier National park. Within minutes you are at West Glacier. The town has so many things to discover as well. Highly recommend to stop by the fresh mountain water historical sight and top off all your hydration needs. We were welcomed as soon as we got there with the details on how to arrive in advance. All that is needed to have a home away from home is there so you can focus on your park experience. We didn't know about the reservation process at the park but it was no problem. The welcome book at the property covers it. We got to see everything there we wanted to discover. Columbia Falls is just minutes away with all the grocery and supply needs. Towards the end of the trip we spent time along the east side of the park and were surprised how different and less accommodating it is. We have been telling everyone since we returned home that this is the place to stay if you ever want to put Glacier on your list of the beautiful places our amazing Country has to offer. Thank you so much for such an amazing time.
Quiet little cabin not too far from a lot of places. Carolyn's is down the road and great for breakfast. Cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed.
The property was comfortable and close to Glacier National Park. We liked having a heater/air conditioning unit in the bedroom. We appreciated finding bear spray in the bathroom cabinet, since we couldn't bring any with us or take any home as we flew to the area. We would rent this property again.
Overall, this cabin was just as promised. It was a very clean, adequate space for two people, with a full kitchen and nice cookware. However, non-smokers may want to know that the cabin had a distinct cigarette smell, especially in the bedroom. This wouldn't be a problem for everyone, but we needed to keep the windows open.
Great location for Glacier National Park. To visit the East side, it would be easier to book a place out there, but visiting the whole park is still doable from this location if you are prepared for the 1 hr 45 min drive via GTSR. It's actually a bit longer using Hwy 2. Comfortable bed and bedding. A full shower. Plenty of shelf space for toiletries. All the basics were there for cooking. We kept the front door closed due to the fact the screen door has an opening at the bottom and did not close flush with the door frame, but still got good air flow with the windows open.
It was a wonderful landing spot after a long day at the park. Itâs a short drive from glacier, so perfect location for our trip. The cabin is very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches! Loved the fresh bread, taffies and coffee station, plus the couch and good WiFi was much appreciated! Overall lovely and would recommend.
The house was easily accessible, located near Glacier National Park. Everything was clean and a few needed items were provided! Thanks for the stay, we would stay there again!
Perfect for my trip. Minutes outside of Glacier National Park. I was happy to use the grill a couple times, and nice to have a small grocery store in town. Property host was helpful and very responsive. Easy and I would stay there again.
This property was very close to Glacier Park. We had considered camping, but decided to stay here instead. It had a nice kitchen and living area. The bedroom ceiling is fairly short, but it wasn't a problem for us, as we are not overly tall. It was a bit odd that there are not actual doors on the bathroom and bedroom, but it wasn't a problem for us, since it was just the two of us.
Me and my boyfriend loved the place! So cozy and in a great location for visiting Glacier National Park. Host had bread and taffy candy out and the stay had everything we needed:)
This is a great little vrbo with all the touches of home and then some! It was perfect for my husband and I. Our days of hiking at Glacier were long and this was just the right amount of space to come 'home' too. Kitchen had everything you need except the groceries for cooking a full meal. Communication with the host was excellent, instructions were clear and there were fewer expectations at checkout than most vrbo's have. Would highly recommend! Note: If you're taller than roughly 5'11", you'll be ducking through doorways in this cute little vrbo.
We so enjoyed our stay in this fun cottage. Comfy bed, high quality bed & bath linens, well supplied kitchen and quiet neighborhood. Lakota was quick to communicate and had so many extra touches such as providing a good array of coffee, local homemade bread, local beer in the fridge and huckleberry taffy. Highly recommend!
