The location and condition of the property is good for exploring the city and surrounding area, however, the best aspect of this hotel is the staff - they were excellent! The hotel is rated as 4-star - however, the staff should be rated as 5-star (special mention to Norriel & Ivan who went out of there way to help and assist the whole family). (All the staff were excellent and accommodated our requests). The rooms were very practical and clean with comfortable beds (what you'd expect from a Marriott hotel). The hotel pool & gym are good (for a city hotel). I would definitely use this hotel again when visiting Iloilo. Note; we also used the hotel's transport provider (Southwest). We have previously used this company before and would recommend them as the drivers and quality of the vehicles are very good.

Not worth the price

First of all, the elevators are slow, one out of four is working. Too crowded, lots of events lots of people at the lobby. I accidentally booked extra person, booked three rooms, I asked them if they can cancel the extras in each room they said no. The hallways smells like poop. I thought it is the most famous hotel in the city and the famous hotel chain but I was disappointed. Rooms is right not spacious as you see in the pictures and videos in you tube. The good thing is, they didn’t charge me of nurse call when I got sick during my stay.

The location is safe and not crowded. The Festive Walk Mall is a walking distance. We stayed during the Dinagyang Festival so the hotel’s atmosphere was very energetic! There was was live music at the dining areas. The pool area is relaxing and there was a dj spinning some cool tunes in the late afternoon to early evening. I will highly recommend staying at The Courtyard Marriott during this time of year.

Felt very safe, lots of shopping options. Hotel a la cart dining was terrible though, but their buffet was good. Walking distance to starbucks, 7-eleven, and festive walk shopping mall. Great Gold's Gym less than a 5 minute walk away too.

The best accommodation

It was my first time again coming home to Iloilo Philippines after almost 7 years overseas. We were so tired from our travel and they allowed us for an early check in. We booked the junior suite room and we were amazed how big, clean and comfortable the room was. Modern room with spacious bathrooms. The only downside was the pillowcase was not changed from the previous user which was dealt with immediately, this did not affect my ratings. We have been to several countries and tried different accommodations but this by far offered the best room. Staff were also amazing and very helpful from the front desk as well as the guard in the main entrance who was very helpful. Will definitely stay in this hotel when I go back to Iloilo.
