Mountain View Chalet

BAVARIAN STYLE CHALET OVERLOOKS the valley of the Sleeping Squaw Mountain Range.
Living Room with 2 stories of windows leads to your 12x14' deck above the large yard and path leading to the lean-to by the pond, fire pit and picnic table.
Sleeps 8, The house is well-equipped, clean, attractive featuring a Soapstone wood stove, (wood provided). A well-equipped kitchen is open to the main living room and allows you to enjoy either the mountain views, wood stove, TV and opens onto the large deck with seating and tables.
WINTER DELIVERS lots of snow and access to great snowmobiling, cross-country skiing out the door or Garnet Hill Lodge (world class) and Gore Mountain Ski resort is only 18 miles away. Free ice skating can be found 1/2 mile away at the Indian Lake Ski Center.
FALL FEATURES some of the best foliage imaginable, see our photos.
SUMMER PROVIDES access to countless adventures involving streams, rivers, lakes, fishing, hiking trails and mountains.
REMEMBER: Plenty pillows and blankets are provided, however, no linens/sheets or towels provided. Easy access to main road and close parking.
There is no landline in the house, however, cell service should be proficient as well as the Wi-Fi.

I'm sure this will be a nice stay once the construction downstairs is completed. Wish host had disclosed the rennovations weren't done. The unfinished stairs were off-limits for the children.The views are lovely, and there was enough room for sleeping arrangements.

Great place to stay for a central location to do hikes and such. Private and relatively quiet. You can hear the cars on 30 but it's not bad at all. Lots of room. Beautiful scenery. Great deck to hang out on. Perfect place to come back to after a day out and about.

2023 - ADK Vacation

We are repeat customers. My husband and friends and 1 dog loved our stay. My siblibgs and their families rented nearby and came to visit. The Indian Ridge Chalet is in a great location to the center of town (Indian Lake) down the road and routes leading to other attractions. Roomy and has multiple bathrooms. My only suggestion - If you plan to come when it's really warm - you might want to bring more fans with you - the house does get full sun. Definitely will look to return. Kelly (NJ)

A Marvelous Vacation

We spent a week at the chalet in October of 2022. It was a wonderful experience. Grand views from the deck looking over the mountains The location is excellent and central to the Adirondacks. Thanks for a great home base for checking out the area. Fit 2 families of 4 comfortably. The place is right on the main road, but that didn’t matter since the view out back and outdoor space was private and large. Indoor area was as expected- loved the historic feel — and that there was a dishwasher. Centrally located.

Summer in Indian Lake @ Indian Ridge Chalet

Lovely Property - Excellent back deck mountain view. Plenty of rooms for sleeping and restrooms. There's a campfire pit area a short path away. We experienced 2 days of a heat wave and there were plenty of fans - the front bedroom or the bottom floor were the best sleeping options on these heat wave days. Definitely would like to return.

Amazing views!

This cabin is set in a beautiful wild flower garden with wonderfully tended grounds and amazing mountain views! Our family had a great time exploring the property and the lakes around it. Absolutely gorgeous property! The cabin on the main floor was perfect, however my family could not use the first floor at all. The musty smell, although we opened all windows doors and fans were on...did not disappear. :( My brother had a full on asthma attack trying to sleep down there. No worries, he is ok! Overall, a great time!

Beautiful chalet!

This chalet was glorious overall. The views are unmatched and the ability to go pretty much any where in the Adirondack park within 1-2 hours is perfect. The kitchen could use some upgraded equipment and the deck needs some attention but neither of those things outweigh how great it was. I addressed these issues with the owner and hopefully they will be rectified. We will be back!
