The Embassy Inn is an older type motel facility, like those from the 1960s and 1970s. Still, it was very clean and the check in was very pleasant. There were few if an amenities, the TV was very old and I couldn't find a soda machine. For the price, however, and closeness to the airport and Cornell College, it is fine.

Clean and affordable and near Cornell. Family owned. Need to update bed spreads and mattresses. A few updates would improve. Nice people own it.

Room was very small, but clean and neat. Resident owners are very nice and helpful. country setting located between Ithaca and Cortland. would recommend and we'll be back next year.

Basic amenities, fridge in room, TV and hairdryer. Coffee available at the office. Simple but clean, a bit worn around the edges but nothing objectionable. A good clean bed to sleep in.

It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. Don't expect a large flat screen TV or fancy fixtures, but if basics are enough, then this place is perfect.

I switched my 4-night reservations to this hotel last minute and saved over $800 compared to staying in downtown Ithaca. This is a basic motel. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. AC worked well. Hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast was basic, but did the job! The TV, however, was very old. Hopefully they'll upgrade their TVs to flat screens at some point

Best for what it is

Location: Close to Cornell University
This is an economy motel. I've stayed in many and this is one of the best. The heat and hot water were great. The room was clean and the bathroom looked recently renovated. The continental breakfast is what you'd expect - danish, muffins, and bananas. The price in the off-season is very reasonable. It is within 5 minutes of Cornell's campus.
