We value our guests privacy as well as our own. We live on-site on attached section of our castle-like home - there are no shared walls or spaces. All guests & ourselves have our own private decks/spaces/parking etc...Both of our Vacation Suites "Ocean Oasis" & "Sea of Serenity" have access to the beautiful walkable acreage.

Check in will be by keypad and we try to greet our guests on arrival when we can.
We will provide you with instructions prior to arrival.

The setting was glorious, the house was beautifully laid out, and the hosts had anticipated our every need. Everything was nice, from the delicious coffee and bread in the welcome basket, to the comfortable beds, to the little things, like ample cozy towels and great-smelling toiletries. My son stayed on the pull-out bed in the turret room and was wowed by the stars he could see through the huge windows each night. Some of my favourite memories of our trip to BC are of sitting out on the patio, looking out over the lawn sloping down to the blackberry bushes, with the ocean below. Truly a beautiful, restful spot.

Es hÀtte nicht schöner sein können. Alles lief perfekt und die Gastgeber sind super zuvorkommend und sehr aufmerksam. Bei Fragen waren sie sehr schnell zu erreichen. Den einzigen Fehler, den wir hÀtten vermeiden können: Nur 5 Tage dort zu sein und nicht noch lÀnger zu bleiben. Wer Ruhe und Frieden sucht, den Ozean und die Natur liebt und dennoch auf Komfort und die Annehmlichkeiten des zivilen Lebens nicht verzichten möchte, wird kaum einen schöneren Flecken Erde finden.

Special Property Exceptional Experience

We were greeted by the incomparable Tanya and Terry who introduced us to each detail of their remarkable property. The ocean oasis is our high point for an exceptionally beautiful, perfectly appointed and welcoming home away from home. Its actually hard to overstate how perfect this place is as a locus for visitors to Sooke and environs. If all you want to do is track the rabbits, deer and birds who make each morning a joy experiencing the changing moods of Juan De Fuca.. Perfect. Or if you want to venture out to great paddling, hiking or beach exploration.. perfect. This home has everything and anything you could ever need for an amazing experience.

An absolute gem of a place. Everything was perfect, and we would very happily stay here again. One of the nicest VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. Beautiful Place, Fantastic Hosts

We had a lovely time at Tanya and Terry's beautiful property. It really did feel like we were far away from the rat race with as little or as much as we wanted to do in the area. Both hosts were extremely responsive to our messages and needs. A beautiful local gift basket of food goodies greeted us, which was such a lovely touch. The suite is immaculately appointed with beautiful west coast touches everywhere. The bed was super comfortable and the big fluffy duvet was to die for!During our stay, there was a wind storm uncommon for this time of year, resulting in a lengthy power outage that day. Tanya and Terry were extremely attentive and concerned for our needs, checking in often and providing us with what we needed to cozy in and weather the storm.We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this gorgeous option in the Sooke area.

Most incredible place

With the sound of the ocean below Terry and Tonya met us as we pulled in, the more than 1000 sq ft space with 10 foot windows opening up to their six acres over the ocean, we were swept away by the elegance. Terry owned hotels and so he attended to every detail in designing this place. Stunning and co for table. A full stocked kitchen and two bedrooms/ even a first class shower

Beautiful property on Vancouver Island

Beautiful property inside and out. The private outdoor spaces are exceptional. We had breakfast at the outdoor table each morning, and took advantage of the shaded pergola on sunny afternoons when we got back from exploring the island. Tanya and Terry were great hosts. They gave us helpful advice on restaurants and things to see, and made sure we had everything we needed, but still respected our privacy. We had a great time and highly recommend this property.

Peace & Tranquility

Three night mini vacation and so delighted we discovered this property. It was so much more than what we expected, absolutely beautiful, clean, spacious and great location surrounded with lovely scenery. A little slice of paradise

We absolutely loved this property! Everything was seamless from organizing arrival to departure. The hosts went truly above and beyond. They were so helpful with suggestions and left us a lovely tray of goodies! Even thought they are on the property we rarely saw them, but were always available whenever we had a question. They were so kind to our kids, the kids actually preferred to stay and play on the beautiful property than to explore the near beaches! I highly recommend this property and promise you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful Home in Sooke

Wonderful stay at this lovely property overlooking the Salish Sea. Tanya and Terry are marvelous hosts. The communication was great and they were there to greet us when we arrived. They also provided a lovely food tray consisting of fresh bread, butter, jam, granola, fresh eggs, chocolate bar, snack items, chips, coffee and tea. Very nice! The property is spacious with a lovely view of the waterway between Vancouver Island and Washington state. It was comfortable to sit outside and look at the ocean while enjoying wine and gin and tonics watching the afternoon sunset. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return the next time I come to Vancouver Island.

Amazing stay!

We loved this property! It was beautiful, well appointed, and very clean. The hosts were friendly and on hand if we needed anything but were also very mindful of privacy. We enjoy cooking a few meals for ourselves when on vacation and the kitchen/BBQ had everything we needed to do that. The beds were really comfortable and the view and atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet. We were close to lots of natural wonders which we loved and were still close enough to Victoria to do day trips.

Happy Birthday on the West Coast

We really loved our stay - the view, the location, the surroundings and the lovely suite. We were celebrating our daughter’s 30’th birthday and it couldn’t have been a better place to do so. The breakfast tray with so many goodies

Truly outstanding!

What a beautiful place to stay! The entire place, inside and outside, was the best accommodation of this kind that any in our party have stayed in. Heated bathroom floors! Gorgeous view. Bunnies, baby deer, geese, birds galore just outside the windows. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely accessible stay

Very accessible property perfect for someone requiring mobility aids. Terry and Tanya were very responsive. One note is that the kitchen in the one area that be tight for someone in a powerchair or difficult to turn around in a wheelchair or walker. Cannot recommend this stay enough!

Classic Elegance

We loved the property. The elegance made us feel like royalty. Wish we could have stayed longer. Supper was awesome with the bbq and dessert was even better while we sat beside the fire This suite is 100% wheelchair friendly. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that couldn’t match the wheelchair features available here. Definitely on our list to return some day.
