Rock harbor key largo
The house was nice, reasonably located. Our checkin was seamless and required only an email. The house was nice, clean, brand new and had reasonable furnishings.
The house itself lacked many standard and or listed items such as a grill, adequate table ware, bedding, functional ice-maker, toaster, coat hangers, hair dryer, iron/ironing board… and trying to get the property manager to respond took 48 hours+.
The walk to the resort is .6 miles but requires navigation across a four lane highway which would be very difficult if we had small children. The only beach access is at the resort. There is a grocery close by and lots of restaurants to choose from. The resort pool and beach service are very good.
I think that future visits may be smoother but it was clear we were the first to occupy our house. It was lacking in many standard items that should have been ready. The price was high but likely typical of the area, that said for what we paid it should have been ready. As a bonus to have some form of soap and shampoo, toilet paper that is not the cheapest kind, some minimal cleaning supplies such as brooms, as well as shelves in the pantry would all be typical of a rental.
We made the most of it and had a great week and made lots of memories. I would have asked for money back but I heard of others who stayed where we were and had it much worse and they gave them a $300 voucher?!
