When we arrived the front desk agent was very accommodating and put us in a room away from the bar/restaurant across the canal. We did hear the music playing but enjoyed it very much. It ended at 10-10:30 pm which was fine. The room was as described, quite roomy and clean. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the boats go by. There is tea, coffee and fresh baked cookies in the reception area. The pool looked nice although we didn't get a chance to get in. The location is great! There is a wonderful diner within a few mins drive named Doc's, I think. We had a very good, resonably priced breakfast there. It has a long history and the service and portions were great.
We would definitely stay at Waterside Suites if in the area again. I do, however, feel compelled to mention one thing, though. When went to bed at night I found a live roach under my pillow. We took care of it but it didn't keep me awake as the place is very clean and that can happened, and has, to us, even at the best hotels. So, I wouldn't let it keep me from staying there again.
When we departed we did report it to the reception agent. She was surprised and said she would tell management.
So, I would recommend this all suite hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced overnight stay with a great view.
