We loved staying at this lake house! It was perfect for our big family with many sleeping options. The host was very accommodating and good communicator. The house was clean and cozy. We loved renting the boat that he had available. There was lots of spaces to hang out for our whole family throughout the weekend. They also had lots of extra supplies like towels, kitchen and cleaning stuff that we needed with a big group. We loved that it was a private space in a cove with a quick ride to the lake with the boat. We definitely want to stay at this place again!
House was super clean and convenient the the lake activities we had planned. We did not rent the pontoon because we had friends with a boat, but it looked to be great.
Easy check in /out. Host was super responsive to any question we had.
This was a great home. Lots of room. Lots of beds. It was right on the water with lots of outdoor space. 2 decks. The owner was wonderful. He did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. I couldn't ask for anything else.
Kirkâs place awesome. He was was very responsive and the dock was great as we were able to dock our boat and go back and forth from the lake to the house
This is a funky , fun little Lakehouse getaway. It has a reverse plan layout with the main part of the house upstairs (Large Kitchen, smaller living area, porch, and one bedroom, one bathroom) as if in a tree house, and the other three bedrooms downstairs. A spiral staircase connects the upstairs to the downstairs. There is also a staircase outside that you can climb to get to the upstairs part, so you do not have to climb the spiral staircase. It has two porches; a large one downstairs, and a top one with a very nice grill. The porches over look a nice lawn that leads down to the boat dock. There are more places to sit and hang out on the boat dock. The cove is cozy but not really an appropriate place for swimming and floating in the lake, as it is covered with green algae. The owner does have a nice pontoon boat he rents out so you can rent it for an extra fee and take this out onto the lake. That is what we did and it worked out very well for swimming and floating. This is a very nice bonus if you feel comfortable taking a boat out on the lake. The only thing to be aware of is that 2 of the downstairs rooms with the bunkbeds in them do not have doors and don't offer very much privacy. However there are a number of beds in these rooms for sleeping, and they would be good for children. We really enjoyed our stay there and recommend this to families that are looking for a good quite cove to stay in on on he lake.
We really enjoyed the lakehouse in Kingsland. I would highly recommend this lakehouse for families as it has plenty of space and fun amenities. Two of the downstairs bunk rooms do not have doors, so they were great for the kids. The kitchen was large and well stocked for food prep, and the living room was loaded with games and fun stuff for kids. The pontoon rental was AMAZING, and we also loved fishing from the dock and kayaking in the cove. Swimming from the dock is probably not recommended given the algae/cove debris, but it's perfect for fishing and boating. Lake LBJ is a very quick trip down the cove, and everyone is so friendly. My family and I were very happy to stay here. Have fun!
