The property is right at lake shore in a very quiet area. It's a 10 min drive to Lake Geneva where you'll find a bunch of restaurants. There is is also food options right next door but the reviews aren't the best. The concept of the cottage is good, the hot tub is a nice touch but it is very loud, not sure my downstairs neighbours really enjoyed it as I did. There is no front desk but a phone call will get you any questions answered. Actually one of their staff came to the place to sort things out, good on you! Unfortunately, the place needs more love to make it great. Carpets stained and smelly, mosquito screen jammed, more reliable wifi. My lower neighbours were quite noisy on the balcony, the insulation is bad. Luckily, the second night, I was alone and it was quiet except for the noise coming from a ventilation fan (I guess?) located below my room; but it is a weird feeling to be the only one in the entire hotel. Basically, I liked the place and will book again but they need to upgrade it to bring it back at the standard it deserves...

MOLD IN BATHROOM! And the hot tub handheld was not even connected. We contacted inn as we want an adjustment on what we were charged but have had no response. We have pictures and will be filing information with the better business bureatmu.

Wow! What a gem this place was! We only booked one night, but would’ve loved a longer stay. We had a loft suite & loved the spiral staircase leading up to the two person tub with fireplace. The common space was nice to eat and relax in & they have everything you need. We were fortunate that during our stay (it was very off season) we were the only guests so it felt like home for the night. Hoping to get back up soon!

We’re cheerful and easygoing travelers, but this experience was truly disappointing. Upon arrival, we found our suite (225 Upper) had not been cleaned after the prior guest — the bed was unmade, towels and bathmat were used, and the trash bin was still full. It was clearly not ready for anyone to check in. While we understand that mistakes happen, the real problem was the complete inability to reach a human being for help. There was no front desk, no local contact, and no response to repeated phone calls or our immediate email (which included photos). We waited in our car for a while hoping someone would respond, but no one ever did — leaving us with no choice but to leave and find other accommodations that evening. We genuinely would have been happy to move to another room or work it out on-site, but the lack of communication made that impossible. We travel often, and this was the first time we felt completely stranded. Hopefully this helps future travelers — and the property — improve the guest experience.

The room was clean & spacious with a nice view of the lake. The convenience of restaurants in walking distance was very nice. The property was quiet & peaceful. It is in need of a refresh but overall was fine.

Lovely lake view from balcony, but door to balcony was difficult to open. Bed comfortable. Could not make the Roku TV work. Coffee maker did not work properly and left huge amount of grounds in the tiny cup provided. No stir sticks, decaf pods, or tea bags. Luckily there was another coffee machine in the commom room. No ice machine that we could find. There was a broken floor tile in the foyer and the wall in the bathroom had some damage. Could not rate service as there was no one there to provide any, which makes the property feel rather unwelcome.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the view of the lake is stunning. Dinner at The Getaway was delicious. A perfect location for relaxation and a romantic experience all around.

Como lake oasis

Nice comfortable clean room, good views of the semi secluded balcony. Easy entry with a code. Had some other guests smoking on the premises which made it unpleasant to sit outside another guest playing loud music early in the morning. But without a physical person to manage the property I guess that’s gonna happen. Could use a refreshing on interior, upholstered chairs changed out. Also more info about having a coffeepot and microwave in the room in description and the common room w/ a gas grill. We would stay here again. Great location off the beaten path

We loved everything about Sandhill. The lady who helped us ( May ) helped us throughout correcting Expedia's mistakes as they popped up from Expedia including not being able to get into the place. If not for May our trip through Expedia would of never worked out. Expedia is run by a bunch of incompetent moron's and we will recommend to everyone - AVOID USING THEM

Nice and cozy

Beautiful, cozy property on the lake. Could use some maintenance though. A little power washing would go a long way. So many spider webs and bird droppings. Overall very nice property. Would definitely return.

I stayed in the cottage and it was such a lovely experience. The room was quite large and the tub was huge, though it did slowly drain when full. Being right on the water was calming, but sound from the restaurant next door carried over the lake and there was a wedding going on. They ended early enough though they it didn't disturb my sleep. The staff was wonderful. There was an air freshener in the room and I have migraines very sensitive to smell. They worked with me to ensure my visit was enjoyable and free from triggers. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place

We had a lake view cottage/room with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. It was perfect. It is outdated but still nice.
