My initial room had a leak. I was not compensated or given an apology. The second room, the sinks were clogged, the faucet handle was broken, the door would not open all the way, the room offers no lighting, the bathroom toilet had urine dripping down the sides. The elevator slammed against my friends wrist and security was not helpful.

What makes the Palms the Highest Quality Hotel in Vegas are its staff. The Unknown bar's Angela can sling drinks such as espresso martini or a killer gin and tonic so much so you'll keep coming back to see her heavenly smile. Then there's Kim at the Tonic bar, sports on TV and a shot glass of your fave shot whenever you want it. The bright stars of service include Aaron, Beto, Brittany, Davion, Daphne, and the whole food crew, every single server at the Palms are why I keep coming back now monthly for the great slot machines (which are the most winning capable in Vegas). If you want handpays and great service, come to the Palms.

Good but...

Note: this was my first time here. The suite layout and accommodations were amazing, and my room had a view of the strip. But the peeling wallpaper, clogged sinks and broken telephones were a letdown. As someone who travels multiple times each month, I would love returning here if the standards were increased. My biggest let down of the whole event was check-in. The booking app said 3pm, the front desk said 3-5pm - my room was not ready. I waited just over an hour and never received a text that my room was ready. I finally approach the front desk, and they said it was ready at a few minutes shy of 5pm. I booked the room in advance; it wasn't a standard room but an upgraded suite. You think they would put a priority on the more expensive stays and ensure we are able to check-in when we arrive.

Bathtub did not work, called twice to get it fixed or change rooms- they could not accommodate. No top sheet on the mattress, only a comforter and mattress protector. No cutlery or plates. called housekeeping twice for cutlery and plates and it took almost an hour to arrive to our room. No drinkable water in room and when requested it, front desk made us come down to get it. Two large holes in the headboard. Lights flickering in the bathroom. We came for our anniversary and it was honestly the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had.

There’s no casino at the palms place, which I liked since I don’t smoke and hate walking through a casino every time I want to enter or exit the hotel. I was really impressed with the quality of the Gym Equipment and variety. Our first room needed some basic repairs and maintenance that was either overlooked or not reported, and we ended up changing rooms 1/2 way through the stay which was inconvenient. On a different note there is a tunnel that connects to the casino and other palms towers and restaurants which made the trip quick if you did want to eat or gamble. The palms is off the strip about a mile but close enough for a quick drive. When checking out on a Monday the bell desk/ front desk did not answer the phone and we had to take 6+ suitcases to the elevator and to the car by ourselves. (We had 2 bowling bags with multiple balls) that was kind of a bummer.
