Not too much to choose from in the small town of Fort MacLeod. Red Coat Inn certainly seemed the better of choices. A bit dated and a tad rundown it was clean and convenient. Office were helpful and on-site parking was free. The Fort is well worth a visit.
It was a dump! We picked this place because it used to be the best motel in town. It's really gone downhill. The beds are really uncomfortable. The pool was closed. The room was dirty, and they 9nly provided coffee cups and towels for 2 people, even though we paid for 3 people. They did give us a 3rd cup and towel when I went and asked for it. Next time we'll stay at the Fort Motel for sure.
The hotel was nice. I expected to stay in the bungalow type room (the only type I saw online) but when we checked in, we were directed to a 2 story building. The 1st key didnât work, so back down to the office. Breakfast was a typical quick, grab and go..granola bars, fruit, packaged pastry, cold cereal, toast. The beds were so so; room was huge.
Itâs time to update this motel. It wouldnât take much to make this place, the place to be in Fort Macleod. Everything needs updating and made to look fresh, not dated and used.
The place was way past itâs prime but reasonably clean. The shower didnât work too great but the heater did. And, the toilet paper was of very high quality. Friendly staff.
For an older motel, it was simple but clean, the beds were excellent. It was nice to have a microwave and fridge. Conveniently located only 3 mins from the wedding reception.
Outside deck chairs needed painting. Strange smell in bathroom. Needed to keep the door closed. Shower stall dirty. Shower worked sporadically sometimes hot sometimes cold. Some areas of the ceiling looked like they was ready to cave in. Electrical outlet near sink wasn't functional so hair dryer didn't work. There were 4 outlets for light bulbs above sink. Two of the outlets had no bulbs, the third one, the bulb was burnt out and the 4th outlet had a functional light bulb. Overall, the room needed some updating and some TLC. Breakfast was included. However, the eating area consisted of a table for two. That is it. The area where the food was prepared was questionable. The paint on the Red Coat sign was peeling. Letters from the outside message board were missing so the messages were indecipherable. We would not stay there again.
A very old motel with tiny bathroom with little counter space. Toilet and shower stall in one tiny room; sink in main part of bedroom area. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Carpet old?
