I was not impressed with the housekeeping service given by this hotel. I came for a special birthday celebration from the USA. At check-in I was not informed about the strict housekeeping policies. I was just expected to read the signs about it after a long day of traveling, or read the door signs in the room, without being told to. I appreciate the work they do for the environment, but I had to ask twice to have my hair conditioner filled in the bathroom. I was spoken to rudely by the front desk for asking for basics like toilet paper and getting my trashed removed (which contained food from the night before) because I didn’t have a sign on my door very early in the morning, even though the sign hung on the door while I was out ALL DAY. I was charged a “city tax” without being told. It was only explained to me when I asked what the charge was because my room had been fully paid months before. When I first asked about transportation to Manchester airport, the only suggestion was to take a £100 taxi, instead of mentioning at £10 pound train option. Some of the staff were helpful, but definitely some were not. While the hotel itself is lovely, I will not stay here again.

Sadly the heating was broken 22 degrees in the room , manger tried to reset and fix , when we got back in from our late night we had planned we were so tired and felt it didn’t seem too bad until an hour later , it was unbearable and never slept the whole night . We were offered a 25% reduction which was later increased to 40 and was told the manager would contact us , we are awaiting for this to happen .

Sent this feedback to hotel directly and Millennium Group also and have as yet, heard nothing. Thought I needed to take a moment to give you some feedback about our stay last evening (31st Jan) and have left feedback after our stay. Comfortable bed and quiet room but lacking in what we’d expect from a Millennium Hotel. Stayed in room 416, requested quiet room which we had. Hotel is starting to look tired, it is a few years since we stayed and looks like no updating has happened since. Room was tired and in need of attention, had lots of repairs awaiting maintenance. Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall, big chip in bathroom floor, area around toilet needed a more thorough clean, mirror surround stained with water damage, architraves around bathroom door all swollen with water damage, paint flaking off, damage to artwork on wall in bedroom On site restaurant was not what we expected, below par self service breakfast. Staff looked as if they’d all been out the previous night and were not particularly helpful at all. Disappointing at any price! Hotel reception busy on check out and I relayed that although we appreciated their every effort, I would be contacting customer services, hence my email. Thought it would be a slightly more luxurious stay, was a tired travel lodge at best I’m sorry to say and very expensive for what we got.

We were in the top floor room 506 with balcony - the finishing and facilities were immaculate, the hotel was clean and welcoming in the perfect location with a great bar and nice breakfast. Eric the concierge is the most affable welcoming and funny character that also rounds off the perfect hotel stay

The room was ok although we asked for a twin room. When we contacted the reception we were told it was a twin room and we just had to move the beds apart and reset the bedside tables! Bathroom had cobwebs hanging from the mirror but generally clean.
