This is a very basic hotel at a reasonable price. The location is convenient and the room was quiet. That is about the only good thing I can say. The beds in all rooms are against the wall which makes things challenging during the night if you have to get up. The bathroom doors are glass which gives little privacy (they are frosted but still visible). The floor in our room was a little rotten - but covered with laminate - but still squishy. The room is grey - with no decor giving at best dorm room vibes at worst - prison. However location is walkable to many tube stops, West End theatre, Covent Garden, Thames etc... Price was reasonable.

I loved staying at this hotel due to its prime location near shops, restaurants, transportation. Area is fairly safe at night which was also a plus as I was traveling alone. I would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding Staff

The rooms are compact, to say the least, but that is the only drawback to this hotel. Even though the rooms are not large, they are well-designed making optimum use of space (get the largest room available). The hotel is well-maintained, and the location could not be better. Steps from Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, two major tube stations and multiple theatres. Best of all though, is the staff. From the clerks at the front desk to the housekeepers to the baristas, you could not ask for a more attentive, hard-working, and accommodating group. I don’t know if management appreciates how amazing this team is, but they must for they work together like a caring family. You will find more spacious accommodations with fancier accoutrements nearby (The Savoy is a stone’s throw away) but you won’t find a better group of people committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible.

The Hotel has a great location: close to theaters tube access, river access, and within walking distance to good food and museums. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the bathroom was adequate to the tasks. The staff was helpful and friendly. However the room was tiny. There was nowhere to open a suitcase except on the bed. There was only enough access room to the bed for one person, so the partner had to climb over the other when entering or exiting if not done in sequence. The photo on my invoice and the one representing the room I booked was not even close to what we received. When I confronted management about this there was the lame excuse that I should have booked the "Access" room and then gave me a card for the standard 10% discount should I wan to book Z in future. I don't see that in our future.

I've stayed at another location of the Z Hotel in London before and had an equally wonderful time. The rooms are small, but the service is LARGE! Every interaction with the desk staff was pleasant and completely genuine in their effort to assist. I'll definitely be back!

The beds were terribly uncomfortable for the price that was paid. Told staff and I was told they could put a duvet on it so assuming they get this often. When you turn over, you literally hit the bed frame. It was ridiculous.
