Incredible views, beautiful home!
My family and I absolutely loved staying here! The views are unlike anywhere I’ve stayed and the home is beautifully updated and decorated. Super private and quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and the check-in process was a breeze. Highly recommend!!

Overall great house
Overall this was a great house, perfect layout & beautiful views. The only thing that was a disappointment was that the downstairs tub/shower was a problem. Despite trying to fix the shower head & the water pressure, it leaked & water would get all over the floor. We asked for an additional shower liner ( to double up), which was promptly handled, but did not solve the problem. I ended up having to share my shower with 2 other people which was challenging. The Tilly-Polly bugs were also a problem inside the house so we had to keep sweeping. I'm assuming that's bc this house is on a cliff & most likely difficult to keep those bugs at bay. That being said, I would stay here again & it was a great house.

Great view, nice living area, steep hill location
This property is in the hills, definitely up the hill. I had no idea that the Santa Monica mountains were this steep. The drive from PCH is only about one mile, but it takes 10+ min to get there. The view is superb. The house has been renovated. The kitchen is great. There could be some more amenities (like a blender).
The house has some maintenance issues. Freezer did not have working through-the-door water or ice dispenser. Sliding doors on balcony are jumping off tracks, blinds need fixing.
Prior reviews talked about rolly polly bugs. Only saw them outside. The owners put up glue traps in garage that fixed the issue.
The upstairs living room, main bedroom and bathroom are first rate, the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms could have used some more attention to detail.

Not as good as we were hoping for
The view from the house was beautiful, however, it’s a bit of a mission up the hill so we found it challenging to get an Uber or Lyft and it took almost 15 mins to reach PCH, so that part wasn’t ideal. The house has been remodeled but it wasn’t quite as nice as the photos make it seem, it seems like some corners were cut during that process. The furniture and beds were comfortable but there was very limited bedding and there’s a sofa bed advertised as a sleeping option but no bedding for it. In addition, the heater downstairs wouldn’t heat so our first night there it was 61 degrees down there with no way to warm it and no extra bedding. There’s WiFi at the house but the range isn’t very far so it didn’t reach all parts of the house and since it’s so high up on the hills the cellular service was spotty. All the appliances worked, it was good to have a coffee maker, we cooked breakfast a couple mornings with plenty of utensils/dishes, so that was nice. The biggest issue was the bugs, there was sooo many rolly polly bugs everywhere, some dead, some crawling around on the floors. We also found multiple spiders and a snail inside. The house didn’t seem very clean when we first checked in which was also disappointing. The issues with the house are fairly easily fixable, so hopefully some bedding can be added, the wifi issue can be fixed, and the overall cleanliness can be fixed. The ice machine also didn’t work in the freezer, so we had to go buy some ice.
