Experience the charm of our beautifully remodeled Topanga guesthouse, where modern updates meet cottage style. With a brand-new kitchen featuring a dishwasher and a refreshed bathroom, plus freshly painted interiors, this guesthouse offers both comfort and style. Vaulted ceilings, cozy French doors, and mountain-view decks create a serene atmosphere, while a cozy loft bedroom with a queen bed and a living room with a pull-out queen sofa bed provide ample space.

Step outside to enjoy the waterfall pool, year-round Jacuzzi, and lush rose garden. Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, our property is ideal for hiking or biking along scenic trails, yet just minutes from the beach. Malibu is a 15-minute drive, Santa Monica is 15 minutes away, and the beach is only 8 minutes down the road—making this the perfect place to enjoy both mountains and ocean in one day.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a pristine guesthouse, ensuring it's spotless and ready for your arrival. Please note, the pool is unheated from October 1st to June 1st, though the Jacuzzi is available year-round. Our property is in a peaceful neighborhood, so we kindly ask that guests refrain from hosting parties or loud gatherings. Enjoy a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature's beauty and just a short drive from the best of Malibu and Santa Monica.

Great place to be

We stayed at Rachel's at the end of our 15 day road trip out West last April. The location is ideal for visiting the north of LA. The shops nearby are very good. Be careful you need the car. The house is very quiet and Rachel is very welcoming. The environment is splendid. You are surrounded by nature so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a great stay there, too short. Go there no problem. We’re French’s.

Le cadre est tout simplement exceptionnel : en quelques minutes, nous nous retrouvons loin de l'agitation, du monde et du bruit, dans une nature superbe. Tout en restant à qqs minutes des plages d'un cÎté, ou des commerces. Le jardin et le spa sont au top! Rachel est toujours présente pour nous aider ou nous guider. La maison est bien équipée. Le seul bémol serait sur la literie (lit et surtout sofa) qui mériterait d'etre renouvelée. Mais nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre sejour. Merci!

We live in central Los Angeles but took a staycation here for 3 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time! Although close to the city we felt worked away with the beautiful garden, pool, jacuzzi, and best of all - quiet! Rachel is an outstanding and responsive host, and our dog loved meeting her dogs. We had a beautiful and relaxing stay at this cozy house! The space was just what we needed — peaceful, private, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the heated pool and Jacuzzi, which made our time there feel like a true getaway. The area was quiet and serene, perfect for unwinding. So relaxing

Booked this cute little place for a staycation with some friends and it was perfect. Super quiet and relaxing while also not being super far from the city. The spa and pool were lovely and the star gazing we did on the deck at night was incredible. I will 100% be rebooking in the future with my family. Plus if you’re a fan of dogs, you might just be greeted by a golden retriever in the morning (but don’t worry if you’re not, Rachel was a great host and will make sure they’re out of the way of you need)

Quiet in Topanga

If you are looking to get away from the noise and get back to serene nature , this property is for you. We enjoyed quiet morning walks with the views and charm of Topanga Canyon. Property was relaxing and cozy. The property owners attentive when needed and great hosts. Highly recommend for a peaceful get away.

A Hidden Gem

Our stay with Rachel was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! The guest house is clean, comfy, private - and the gated backyard area was perfect for our dog. Rachel was friendly, communicative and prompt whenever we needed anything or had a question. The neighborhood is secluded and private. We felt like we were a world away from LA. Highly recommended!

Exclusive guest house in perfect location

We came with our two children to spend a few days in L.A. The guest house was well equiped, tiny but charming and the pool/jacuzzi made use feel privileged. The location was great to visit the city, hike in the canyon or go to the beach. We would go back with no hesitation!

So peaceful

I loved staying here with my 3 children. It was not too far from the beach, but tucked away enough that it was quiet and very relaxing without the busy vibe of LA. The hosts were extremely kind and attentive, but also gave us our space to have great family time. I hope to be back someday!!

Pool cold water should be advertised as such also hot tub. Shower a joke & bathroom way outdated. No decent soap etc. Rugs filthy. Couldn’t get xfinity to work. Neighbor dogs barking in the night. Terrible hide a bed had to sleep on floor. No amenities. Way overpriced.

Great Guest house to stay - with pool and spa

This is my first time using Vbro as I have used the "other' one mostly in the past but do not travel much. Well. of all the places I HAVE stayed at, this was the BEST! A nice private guest house with a full kitchen ( important to me) and the pool, spa and semi private lush landscape just outside the large view French doors. Check in was flawless as we check out. The queen bed up in the loft was very comfortable and the main living room and dining area were nice as well. Rachel was not home most of the time but we communicated when needed and she was very responsive to a a minor issue and helped set up the spa remotely, until I figured it out. Overall a 9 our of 10 which is far better than ANY other place I have stayed.

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I stayed at the property with our dog for two nights. This property was perfect, away from the chaos of Santa Monica and Malibu, nestled in the quiet mountains of the Canyon
 but only a few minutes drive to everything. We were able to enjoy all that the property had to offer.
