I waffled between two and three stars on this one, ultimately selecting three because you get what you pay for, in this place was cheap. The room I had on my first night had a heater that made so much noise, it kept me up. I woke up to find no hot water. But the front desk clerk made swapping my rooms very easy for my second night.
It’s a rundown hotel, what can you do. Peeling wallpaper, rust stains in the sink and tub, old broken alarm clocks, beat up furniture. But to renovate, they would have to charge a lot more than what I paid. Ultimately, they kept it very clean, and that’s what mattered most to me. The linens were spotless and even though it felt outdated as could be, it was central to a lot of Culver City and it worked for me.
Two nights for a work trip where I barely stayed in the room, this works. But I would not come here with my kids or for a long stay.
