Checked into our room, and after unloading everything we discovered the lack of housekeeping! The floors were dirty black. I complained to front desk and he gave me a mop, still black! I asked for cleaner and rags, still black! FD offered to move me into another room but after I inspected it, it had filthy floors as well! I ended up going to Family Dollar and spending $30 in cleaner to get the flooring clean. The hotel is extremely dated! It smelled moldy and the sofa needs to go to a landfill as it smelled horrible! I am pretty generous with leaving housekeeping a tip if the room is clean but not this time! They need to properly train there staff or hire new ones….

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. Blankets are thin, requested extra and none given. There is a broken window, the security lock on the door is broken, the mattresses are old, and extremely uncomfortable, the air conditioner doesn’t not work, only the fan. There is very poor lighting, no light attached to a light switch. The tv takes 5 mins to come on, there is no microwave in the room. The pool annd the hot tub anppear dirty, I would not go in. And the free breakfast is coffee and a prepackaged muffin. I am not hard to please, but this has been the worst!! This place needs to be shut down permanently .

Very very disappointed!

The room was left open when we came back from the island. Floors were sticky. The bathrooms were in terrible shape toilet pointed at door so crooked and the door had pieces missing off the bottom. Walls were peeling finishes were outdated and ac was below average kept room at 77 degrees. The blankets had holes in them. There was no breakfast like advertised just a cold muffin and awful coffee.

The property was ok. Needed updating but the floors were nice rather than old ugly carpet. Beds were very comfortable. Slept great. Not much of a breakfast, just coffee, hot chocolate and muffins. Should probably say there is no breakfast. Was able to buy ferry tickets right at the front desk and the ferry was located right next to the hotel which saved on daily parking which I believe they charge now at the ferry. I think it was $40/day, but I’m not positive. The hotel does not have a beach but does have Lakeview rooms. Seemed a bit overpriced for what you get. Seems that it could have been just a little bit cheaper. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was such a dissappointment. The property is not well maintained. The parking lot is all broken up & a mess. The place is not kept very clean. The employee was very nice at the desk. There isnt microwaves. The back door only had the normal sliding door lock, the extra one they put up was not working & the door & screen wouldnt close completely so its unsafe & misquitos came in. I do not reccomend!

Location was perfect unfortunately a group of under age kids started to play ding- dong- ditch at 11pm at night. It was nasty! A lot of us had to complain that the children where left alone at the hotel while parents went out to party ..

Disappointing to say the least. The room is an absolute disgrace. How Wyndham can put there name behind this property is alarming. You could plop it down on 8 Mile in Detroit and it would fit right in. There isn't an upper manager who would stay at this motel. They would have it shut down. I wish we would have taken pictures. Do not book this place. They wouldn't let us cancel our last night because we were checked in. We didn't stay our last night.

We enjoyed our stay because Mackinac is beautiful and the water is amazingly clear and clean and we were right on the beach. Our room was not the nicest, the lamp was broken there are holes in the wall from them moving decor. No microwave in room. Floor was dirty. But it was cheap compared to other hotels in area so we def got what we paid for. It didn’t change our opinion of Mackinac or our experience. We loved it and made great memories. Thank you Mackinac for being so kind and enjoyable!

Liked the new vinyl plank flooring vs nasty carpet in a lot of hotels. Hopefully updated baths coming. Room smelled musty. Lots of mildew spots in bathroom. Great location in Mackinaw City at a great price on holiday weekend.
