When we arrived the house was very hot and the air conditioning was not working. We finally reached someone to help but they could not come until the following day so we had a very very uncomfortable start to our trip. The company was not willing to compensate or help us - most of us were unable to sleep at all due to the heat. The house is comfortable when the air conditioning is working however there are not enough glasses or cutlery or cookware. We found ourselves sharing glasses/cutlery and washing up constantly in order to cater for our group. The streets are very narrow and a little confusing to get to the house, parking is a 15-20 minute walk - we didnât mind this but important to be aware. The pool is lovely and well-cared for. The top floor is more suitable for short people as we kept hitting our heads on beams and ceiling. We felt there could have been better communication with a welcome book or information onsite - we couldnâtâ find anything there that explained about the complicated rubbish system or the local area. The town is really quaint and very Spanish. We enjoyed being in Sa Pobla but it is not very touristy - which we loved. Whilst we loved our stay once the air conditioning was repaired, we felt the rental company was there to make money for the owner and not necessarily to support the visitor.
The house is beautiful - the description and pictures were matching. You probably arrive by car, and free parking is nearby just down the road. Locals are very patient when you need to load/unload in front of the house and they cannot pass. Across the backyard of the house is a half finished house - we didnât have problems with it, but just ask the owner when there will be construction.
We would have given it a 5star rating, but deduct one point because at arrival the house was not cleaned - ok can happen during busy times. But worse, 3 out of the 5 aircoâs malfunctioned from day one. It got fixed temporarily the next day. Service recovery was quick but it should not have happened in the first place if the aircos were maintained properly. In total this wasted an evening and a morning for which we put forward a refund claim.
On the phone we were offered a refund but we didnât get the confirmation in writing as I was asking for.
