I’ve stayed here many times, but never has I seen the gym, or steam room before, the pool is wonderful. The food is great and the gym and the other amenities are great too. Staff is very professional and protective!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Dann Carlton Medellín. My two friends and I booked our rooms six months in advance, only to arrive and be told that there were no rooms available for us. The front desk attendant initially claimed that the rooms were under repair, which we later realized was not true. This immediately created frustration and distrust. Instead of honoring our reservation, we were told we would be sent to their annex property, Dann Carlton Belfort. While they described this as an “upgrade” to a suite, that was not what we wanted. We specifically chose and paid for the Dann Carlton in Medellín — not the Belfort property. At the time we made our reservation, the Belfort hotel was nearly half the price of what we paid. This situation felt like a classic case of overbooking. It left us feeling cheated and taken advantage of, as though our rooms were given to last-minute guests willing to pay a higher rate. After planning our trip well in advance, this was a major inconvenience and disappointment. A reservation made six months ahead should mean something. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously impacted my trust in this hotel brand. I would not recommend booking here unless you are prepared for the possibility that your confirmed reservation may not be honored.

We had an issue with the A/C and blackout curtains. The technician couldn’t help fix or explain how to fix the A/C. We figured it out ourselfs, and the blackout curtains just needed new batteries but the tech refused to change them first nd said maybe it got locked because the button was pressed too many times lol The breakfast was not good in my opinion, I trusted other reviewers but chicken wings and rice and beans is not something I would have for breakfast. Hey had eggs and fruit which saved us. The overall hotel was ok, the staff was friendly and location was good.

I was disappointed that the hot tub was out of commission for both of my stays. Please take that out of your description if you're not going to fix it...it's misleading and was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. The pool was great...just wanted to also use the hot tub that was advertised in the listing. Rooms were mostly clean though there were some stray hairs here and there and one of the remotes was sticky and had someone's eyelash stuck to it. Also when ordering room service would be great to have a tray so that dishes can be easily wheeled outside of the room after use, otherwise the dirty dishes stink up the room until the room is cleaned the next day. All in all, a very nice hotel! The breakfast was phenomenal every day and the beds were extremely comfortable. All the staff were lovely except for the person working by the pool...I kept having to track him down for towels or to order food/beverages. Suggest perhaps leaving towels out so guests can just grab them as we walk in and to alleviate extra work for that person, and also perhaps having menus handy so people can look at them without having to track anyone down. Really enjoyed the revolving restaurant! It's pricey but well worth the fantastic view and food.
