The area was not near many restaurants. Had we know the area a bit better we would not have booked it.

Nice Hotel for Europe
Location:This hotel is really on the outskirts with nothing nearby, except a Metro stop a few blocks away so you can actually get to places.
We have stayed in several different hotels in Europe and this was by far the nicest. Overall I would give it 4 stars for Europe and 3 stars for a comparative US hotel. I would definitely stay here again especially for the package deal we received with flight. The bed was soft, pillows were nice, and the bathroom was clean. However...there were a few things to be aware, there was a weird high pitched noise in our room all night, generally we were so exhausted we didn't notice it too bad. There were close to 15 light switches, no joke, half of them seemed to be on motion sensors and would just come on or off at random times at night. I've included a picture of 9 of the light switches when you enter the room. Also, after an entire week we still did not learn how to turn off the bathroom light or one of the room lamps, we finally had to unplug the room lamp. If you decide to stay here I hope you like 75 degrees or hotter, the room had a thermostat but we had to call the front desk to change the temperature, room access to the thermostat is denied!! The front desk staff would not go below 24 degrees Celsius per hotel policy...SERIOUSLY??!!! The hotel itself is on the outskirts of town and not close to anything. The Metro (subway) was only a couple blocks away and seemed safe. We had to take the subway one night after midnight and it was packed with normal people. We felt really safe around the hotel and its location...probably because there was nothing else around!
