The staff made our holiday. They were so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to meet our every need. The hotels location right on the beach is amazing. Few things around the resort need a little maintenance but this didn't distract from our amazing stay. Can't wait to go back

The staff friendliness stands out. The only negative was at checkout when they asked for payment which had already been made to lastminute.co.nz. I had to prove that I’d already paid via the lastminute website. Not sure who’s to blame, Hilton or lastminute, but it was embarrassing.

Clean room, quiet and safe. Break is not complementary. We paid $49/head for breakfast which did not include coffee. Waitress took our order for coffee as we set down without telling us that its a separate charge. We only found out about it during check out when we were asked to pay $13/cup. Very disappointing. All the check out staff as was sorry.

The staff at the Hilton beach resort are absolutely friendly, kind and engaging, you couldn't ask for nicer people. The property is showing its age and does need a thorough refresh if not a complete renovation or rebuild considering that many of the adjoining resorts are rebuilding. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was enormous and we we're grateful for the laundry and kitchenette, as our apartment backed onto an adjoining resort there is noise from the nightclub next door but it does get quite after 10pm The restaurants nearest to the lobby are very nice with great food options but the adults only restaurant is not Up to scratch in regards to food and service. Overall a solid 4 star resort, but certainly not the 5 star resort it's claiming to be.
