Escape to The Ridge for a relaxing family vacation or romantic getaway in the beautiful hills. Our spacious cabin can accommodate up to 8 guests and features a large primary bedroom with a private bath, three additional bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms for your convenience. The spacious living room, with a stone fireplace, is the perfect place to unwind and relax with a good book or watch TV in front of the fire. A fully equipped kitchen is also available for home-cooked meals with your loved ones. Socializing and entertainment are easy with the bar area, pool and foosball tables, and a playground for the kids.

The Ridge also has an open and airy downstairs space for movie nights, with two additional bedrooms equipped with queen-sized beds, a complete bathroom, and a shower. Enjoy the magnificent views of the woods from the enormous elevated wraparound deck while sipping coffee. Come and indulge in the beauty of nature with your family or loved ones.

The price structure is based on the rate for four people. The king bed (main bedroom #1) and queen bed (bedroom #2) will be open for 2–4 guests. All other bedrooms will be locked. 5–6 guests: Double queen bedroom #3 will be unlocked. 7+ guests: Bunk bedroom #4 will be unlocked.

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

We stayed here for a “girls weekend”. The cabin was large, plenty of space. The outdoor fire pit area was wonderful. There was a little supply of firewood, which we added to after we bought some more since we used plenty. The rooms all had charging stations which was a nice touch. We had a few questions during our stay (like where were the sheets for the futon) and they were promptly answered. The property, while secluded, was well marked and easy to find.

Check in process was easy. We loved our stay. We did notice a mildew -ish smell throughout the cabin. They do have a de humidifier and also things to help absorb the moisture to help. We just chalked it up to cabin living. The cabin was clean upon arrival. We had to move some rugs as they were slippery. We enjoyed the hot tub! There were so many seats outside and fun things to do. We loved the swing and swingset. We had accidentally gotten locked out of one of our bedroom doors and they had someone come out and help. Very responsive. Overall great experience!

Early Thanksgiving With Family

The Ridge is a wonderful property. It was cozy and very clean. The scenery was beautiful, too. We loved the large kitchen, which made it easy to prepare food for our Thanksgiving meal. An added bonus were the Christmas decorations - including a lovely Christmas tree!!

Very well-maintained, clean, and equiped with all the basic necessities and more! We were all pleasantly surprised at the available amenities (games, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, cell phone chargers, internet speeds, etc). Proximity to Nashville and Yellowwood State Forest was ideal. Great Property

Very spacious and well appointed with what you need. Stayed there during the remnants of hurricane helene which made travel more challenging but manageable. Secluded and quiet with plenty of room.

Labor Day Get Away

We loved this property. It was exactly the kind of place we wanted for a two family weekend vacation. There were a couple issues that we wanted to share. Some of the outdoor furniture was not clean and a couple Adirondack chairs had broken slats. Bunk bed was unstable and top bunk had a broken slat and was not able to be used. Grill appeared non-functional.

Family Weekend in Brown County

This house is centrally located and was only 10-15 minutes from Nashville, Hard Truth distillery and Lake Lemon. All the beds slept great and the house was very clean. We really enjoyed the basement with the pool table and all the cool kids toys they had for all age ranges. We had a bonfire and made smores for the kids too. Had such a great time!!

Perfect family getaway

This cabin was perfect for the 6 of us and our 2 dogs. Loved the big yard and forest to explore, the hot tub, pool table, indoor and outdoor fires, hammock and variety of outdoor seating, spacious layout, and proximity to hikes/shopping. This cabin has everything you would have at your own home so you can pack light and enjoy the amenities
we especially appreciated the coffee maker with pods and flashlights (lost power one night due to high winds). We didn’t realize that there were only 3 bedrooms available with the price we paid, but we still had plenty of space. Thanks for a relaxing getaway!

Weekend with college friends.

The space was perfect for us! We had a great weekend with college friends. Our 3 teen daughters enjoyed the amenities and there was plenty of space. Beds were super comfortable. My only complaint is that the house could use a good deep clean and some updates. Also, our friends said their shower in the main bedroom wasn’t draining properly. None of these issues was a deal breaker, though. Overall, great weekend.

Needs a deep clean

The cabin needs a deep clean. Windows, baseboards were filthy. Kitchen could use some items stocked. No full set of measuring cups, no large skillet. It showed a room with bunk beds but there weren’t any. Plenty of room and great location

A great place to entertain, stay with kids and family. The basement is a gem with a full bar, extra room, tv, games and massive DVD collection. The furnace is very loud so anyone staying down there might want ear plugs or ambient music. Everything was generally clean but there was the occasional dead bug, spider web and mouse trap. Also there is some patch work and painting that needs to be done. It was left looking like semi-complete in the kitchen and living room. Some rooms are brand new and others, like the carpet on the stairs looked like it had never been replaced. They had recently installed locking doors for occupancy and we didn’t know. Our kids locked themselves out of the room because the owners have doors coded to keep you out of the rooms. We saw it later as a fee to charge a higher rate per occupancy. It was expensive for what you get, but it is nice for the ridge. Caveat emptor.

Quiet and Private

We only had 5 adults but this home could accommodate 8 comfortably 
 3-1/2 baths made getting ready easy. Be careful on the hilly, curvy roads 
 one day a fast school bus about wiped us out! We played pool in basement, played cards in dining room, made few trips into Nashville, Bloomington and Brown County State Park. Would stay here again!

Great trip

We had a great stay at The Ridge. The place was cozy and clean. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. Upon checking out we did notice a water leakage in the basement that needs repairing. The company said they would get it fixed. The only other areas for improvement would be better kitchen pans and spatulas and to clean up a couple of carpet stains in the bedrooms. Other than that everything was great. We would return for sure

Great family getaway

A wonderful place to stay. Plenty of room for everyone to have peace of mind. Close to several areas with plenty to do. Only minor hiccup was with communication from the property management. We had a water issue that could have been a major issue but we were able to manage it. It wasn't the fault of anyone but It would have been nice to have some planning or consideration on their part once notified of it. Instead we had to reach out several times before something was put into place if the issue wasnt fixed in a timely manner. Overall though, a great family getaway for all to experience.
