I had one of the worst hotel stays I've ever experienced. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we were overwhelmed by a terrible smell of mold, and the room looked rundown. When we raised our concerns, the staff came to spray the room, but that only made the smell worse and felt unhealthy. At that point, no one offered us a different room.
It wasn't until we mentioned that we wanted to cancel our stay and request a refund that anyone actually took notice. We went to the front desk, where the receptionist made us wait for about five minutes because she was on a personal call. When she finally responded, the staff member was incredibly rude and condescending, outright telling us, "You will not get your refund." We felt completely disrespected. She then called her manager and put her on speakerphone. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the manager spoke to us as if we were the ones arguing.
We were told that we would receive a refund in two days, not three, but as of today, we still haven't received anything.
