Family trip to NYC

Pros: Large size of the rooms (very spacious), the front-desk staff were very courteous/welcoming, the location was good, and free drinks/snacks in room.
Cons: Room smelled like someone had smoked in it (even though it was a non-smoking room), TV did not work, could be cleaner in rooms, and walls were thin.
Location: Very close to Wall Street subway station (2/3 line). Lots of cafes/bakeries around including Leo's Bagels and Financier Patisserie.
We stayed at the Andaz for three nights with our two children (in a room with two double-beds). The positive aspects of this hotel included: the large size of the rooms (very spacious), the front-desk staff were very courteous/welcoming, the location was good, and the free drinks/snacks in the room (included a handful of pop and water bottles, one mini-bag of chips, and one chocolate bar). The areas for improvement included: our room smelled like someone had smoked in it (even though it was a non-smoking room - important for people who are really sensitive to smoke to be aware of), the TV did not work (we had a technician in the room and we were told he could not fix the box - there was no further follow-up from the hotel staff on this item), and the walls were thin and we had a group of party-goers on the first night (which kept us up most of the night - we did complain to the front-desk and we were told that they would look into it). Overall, we did enjoy our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to others as long as they are aware that there is some areas for improvement.

We were told that the breakfast was free but when we went to the breakfast they charged us $61. We then paid for it with our Visa card and It was’nt until we were checking out of the hotel that we complained about this that they said the meal and charge we had paid for would not show up on our bill. How do we know this and what is the point in a free meal when you are charged, then uncharged? We also found the person in charge of greeting us at the breakfast buffet, very arrogant and I did not feel like a guest but some kind of little kid who needs scolding (I am 95 years old....). I booked a suite, and although they did not have that exact suite, the hotel did give me a newly modernized room with deep bath. It was also nice. Thank you.

The staff was outstanding which made the stay very relaxed. Especially Peter and Brigette. They was helpful each and every time we came by. Peter was not only outstanding for us and our stay but as we were downstairs awaiting our ride we notice the same hospitality being display to another guest. He is awesome and a great attribute to your company. As a operations manager I am big on customer serivce and the staff was really on point. Kudos to your current staff and I will be looking forward to seeing you on my next trip.

Thee best trip to the Empire State

We loved everything, the staff was superb.

The staff was awesome. The bathroom was a little dark for applying makeup. It was hard to not get the whole bathroom floor wet while taking a shower. Otherwise ideal. Spacoius. Convenient. ( how about a magnified makeup mirror for us older ladies? ) thank You!

My new York trop

Went to stay at andaz from Friday 26th to Saturday 28th January excellent staff and the room was great will come back also member of Hyatt group and wanted to see if can transfer my stay at andaz to my membership account Please let me know thanks
