U get what you pay for no coffee in room only downstairs in the lobby which they ran out of coffee one day and no vending machines and the website said that there were 4 or more and the ice machine was in the basement they have a really good bagel place up the street we ate there a few mornings because we missed the buffet style breakfast conveniently there was a store across the street from the hotel to get snacks and stuff

Hotel is an excellent location near Alexandra bridge which is walkable to Rideau Locks and Parliament and National Gallery etc or easy navigation drive to Ottawa or surrounding area via A5 Macdonald Cartier bridge or Portage bridge to/from Hull. Excellent epicerie on the block had everything you need - I booked a room with a kitchen- needed to buy a can opener (bring your own cooking/cleaning supplies- kitchen supply was very minimal!) Hotel staff went above and beyond in helping my family arrange (gratuit) parking when they visited me. There is construction in the area but it was not noisy or disruptive- in fact it was pretty interesting watching the workers and trucks supplying the work site.
