The property offers self-contained rooms (bedroom, ensuite) in a shared common space. The rooms are clean and pleasant, the bathrooms are small but perfectly fine. The common facilities include a large, well equiped kitchen. Parking is available as long as you are comfortable pulling across the walkway to and from the busy road. You can walk to the city and close-by are the Cowley road restaurants, cafes and bars. This is an excellent option for a budget-conscious traveller.

So convenient on a frequent no 3 or 3a bus route to the city centre and train station, you really don't need a car. The room was fine and had everything you would need. Possibly a kettle etc actually in the room might be nice. My room was downstairs near the kitchen but my friend's was on the top floor so a long way for a cup of tea! Everything was spotless. The kitchen and dining area were exceptional, the kitchen had everything you could want even if you wanted to do a big meal, and the dining room was lovely and bright and spacious and the garden was pretty. The staff were unobtrusive and obviously had done a good job with it all being so clean.

Great location for the O2 and free parking was a bonus! The rooms probably reflect the price - quite tired with a musty smell. We had room 2 which was downstairs and next to the kitchen so it was noisy at times (someone had a 1am snack!!)..upstairs rooms may be ok. Entry instructions were clear and simple (key codes)

Another enjoyable stay

We have stayed at the Iffley Hown House a few times and always enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the communal kitchen is a real bonus. The property is ideal for concerts at SJE and is 15 minute walk into the city centre so located well. We hope to see you again next year!

I enjoyed my stay - it is a nice walk into Oxford past the Iffley Sports Grounds, the room was very clean and comfortable and although the instructions were not exactly precise, a kindly passer-by helped me out! I would definitely return.
