"I cannot say enough about how perfect our stay was at Pianelle! Starting off with Saverio, the manager who was so helpful and kind, ensuring us that all of our needs were met. Then there is the super kind staff that also went out of their way to be friendly and efficient. Our cave room was beyond beautiful, tastefully decorated, one of the best showers we've had on this 2 week trip - everything was perfect!!"

"Not worth the money. Matera is beautiful and unique, very worthing visiting. But the hotel itself was below our expectation, with such an expensive room rate. No kettle to boil hot water, no conditioner in the bath room. The room was decorated as old time "Sassi" but rather too empty and simple. The view outside the room was nice though."

"We enjoyed everything about the hotel; friendly staff, convenient location, clean n big room except for 2 things : - the toilet is not enclosed ie it has no door. My husband and I had to take turn to leave the room when we want to use it. - the hotel did a fantastic job to notify us about options of parking. It was quite a task to drag our luggage up and down from the car park to the hotel along the cobblestone road. The hotel could have offered portal service to their guests especially for elderly guests"
