The Dejarnette Cottage is in a great location and worked well for three couples. The bathroom for the bedroom on the first floor closest to the road is a poor design. It has a window in the shower at waist level which was flooded with water each time the shower was used and clearly showed it had sustained water damage over the years. This same bedroom has two large windows facing the pool and two smaller windows facing the street. The blinds did not work on the smaller windows so we couldn't open them. We didn't open the blinds on the windows facing the pool because it is in the direct path of the walkway to the front door, so there is no privacy with the shades open. This made the room very dark. I have stayed in Rosemary Beach many times over the years and was disappointed in the comfort of the furnishings and the supplies in the house. The dining room chairs are very uncomfortable (they need cushions on the wicker seats). The kitchen had minimal supplies (a few dishwasher tablets, paper towels and dish soap). There were no seasonings (salt, pepper, etc) and not even a welcome pack of coffee. Every house I've stayed in at Rosemary Beach has these basic kitchen staples. We enjoyed the four bikes that came with the house, but it would have been nice to have 6 bikes since there were 6 of us. We had to rent two bikes in Rosemary. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Rosemary, but I would look for other accommodations before I booked Dejarnette again.
