Hotel staff was super helpful with reservations, advice, tips, very friendly. The rooms are very very small. Best pillows and bedding. Super soft towels. Room service was excellent. Everything was superb except for the most important thing. I made reservations for 2 double beds with a balcony. I got a confirmation regarding 2 double beds. I paid a price for 2 double beds. But when we got there there was only one bed. When I asked about the 2 double beds, I was told that these are 2 twin beds put together that we can separate to make 2 beds. This was absolutely not what I reserved or paid for. There was not enough space to separate the 2 beds. The room was tiny. The balcony was tiny as well, I don’t think we could even go outside to this balcony. I had to upgrade to a different bigger suite, pay even more money and I got a king bed, a couch (I was told they don’t have rooms with 2 beds) and no balcony. So although everything else was amazing, I felt that I was lied to in my reservations. I would have booked a different hotel with 2 beds. For this reason I will never stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone. It’s very very expensive and truly not worth it.

Forget everything you heard of about Paris being difficult, from the minute we arrived after being cheated by the Parisian taxi, everything went well. Friendly, English speaking staff, upgraded room, complimentary items in room, wonderful location and a restaurant that serves the very best and healthy food.

We were warmly greeted and so pleased with all the friendly staff. The location of the hotel is perfect. The room was charming, and we were given a bottle of wine upon arrival and some lovely chocolate bars upon departure. The shower was perfectly designed with excellent water pressure. Enjoyed the stay immensely and would stay there again.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel & staff. It is within walking distance to both the Louvre & Metro, so it is well situated to travel within Paris. Hotel is smartly appointed with an eye for detail. Check-in was pleasant, quick & included a glass of champagne as well as a tour of the hotel. We opted for the 'Family Suite' which had 2 bathrooms & adjoining entry. Staff was attentive, friendly & very helpful. We had a misfortunate experience with our airline that resulted in our luggage being completely soaked. The entire staff was extremely attentive & provided immediate assistance and even supplied us with coins for the local laundry mat! The rest of the stay went like a breeze & fully enjoyed all the amenities the hotel had to offer. If you want to feel like royalty, without all of the fuss - the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal is for you!

Dreams come true in Paris

Everything was amazing. We stayed in their rooftop suite and loved the private balcony we had. The view of the Eiffel Tower was icing on the cake. Can’t beat the proximity to museums. Staff was excellent.
