This place was beyond expectations, and I read the previous positive reviews so expectations were fairly high. This hotel is adorable, love the quirky interior design- you'll not see boring blank walls in this place. But everything works and it was a relaxing place to return to at the end of each day. Also, the bed is super comfortable firm enough to give good spinal support but soft enough to be really comfortable. Also, the twinkle lights behind the tiles in the bathroom was an amazing touch. This is one fun hotel.
Location wise, you aren't in the center of paris or necessarily next to any of the big landmarks but you are next door to a delicious boulangerie (highly recommend their viennoise) and close to two metro stations, and there's a bus along the street the hotel is on. Personally, I leisurely walked to Notre Dame in about an hour including stops for photos, coffee, and my viennoise bread breakfast. The hotel also gives you a printout of interesting and lesser known points of interest in the neighbourhood which was quite cool. I didn't have any trouble getting around paris going to/from the hotel througout my stay.
Finally, this hotel gives you a handy smartphone! Free 4g data (maps! Internet!), local calling and international calling to a couple countries (USA, Italy, Germany were a few I remember). This was pretty amazing.
I would definitely stay here again, recommend it to everyone I know, and recommend it to anyone I don't know. This place was superb.
