The hotel is very Parisian and well located. I can appreciate it would be difficult to have a refrigerator in an old establishment like this but some bottled water would be nice in the room. English channels on the tv didn't work for most of the stay but not a big deal. The staff was very friendly and overall a great stay for 5 days in Paris and good value.

The hotel was a nice trip back in time...antique, not antiquated. The only terrible thing was the front desk. There is no professionalism at the front desk and not very helpful at all. One elevator (lift) is frustrating during check out time. I stood waiting for 10 minutes then decided to walk down. Other than that, it was a good location.

This hotel is in a great location and is perfect for someone who is just looking for a nice place to stay while they see the city. Before I went I read reviews about people complaining about the breakfast. It was exactly what they said. Basically bread, water, coffee and butter for 17 USD. You can get the same breakfast down the road for 7 USD. We avoided the hotel breakfast and upon checkout, the person at the front desk mumbled under her breathe in French how strange we were for not eating breakfast while we were there. This is the reason I marked the staff as disappointing. Mumbling under your breathe is never a good thing but doing it in another language because you think the guests standing in front of you can't understand you is even worse.
