Lovely hotel in the Latin Quarter.
Pros:Location and atmosphere
Cons:Air condition was broke the first day and it was a heat wave. It was fixed quckly
Location:Tree lined street in Latin district.. Close to Luxemburg BLind station so easy metro access from the airport.
Lovely location, nice, helpful staff. Rooms were small by American standards, but big enough for what you need. Best instant coffee ever. Close to cafes and the metro. Quiet location. Would stay again

The staff couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. We loved this little hotel. It was very clean and quiet.
Pros:Free Internet, Quiet, subway stops were a bit of a walk
I would love to stay in this hotel again. It is a small hotel but very clean and quiet. The staff is wonderful and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. My last stay in Paris was in a large hotel, that had a terrace but lots of street noise. This hotel on the left bank is more of a residential feel and no traffic. We loved it.

On our second trip to Paris, we wanted to stay in the Latin Quarter. After 10 days at this hotel, we would recommend Relais Saint Jacques for couples wanting an intimate experience at a reasonble price with friendly, personal service!
The 24-hour front desk staff was very professional and always helpful. The rooms are small, but elegant and well-equipped. Yes, there is a blow dryer and pants press (no iron). The twin beds are a little narrow, but with great pillows and linens. We sleep on memory foam at home, but found these beds very comfortable by European standards.
The bathroom is also small, but the full shower was excellent...great water pressure; never ran out of hot water! The fluffy towels plus robes and slippers are a nice touch as well.
Only a few rooms have balconies, but this upgrade is worth every penny if available! (We contacted the hotel directly to arrange for this...it made the room seem larger.) Fantastic location, close to everything, but on a relatively quiet street.
Also loved that it was within walking distance of Notre Dame, several shops, restaurants and only a couple of blocks from the Luxembourg RER and Metro station.
Didn't have breakfast at the hotel; too many other options close by. Walk straight out the front door up Rue Gay Lussac for some wonderful bakeries and restaurants. The Sorbonne square and Pantheon are close as well.
Note: As with many European hotels, your room key controls the electricity. When you are not in the room, the electricity is OFF. If you have electronic devices to charge, they will only do so when you are in the room with your key.
We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

Charming hotel in a great location!
Pros:Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, beautiful and quaint, upscale bathroom
My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Relais Saint Jaques Hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The hotel is charming and very comfortable. Just one block from the Jardin Luxembourg and the Metro, our room looked out on the Pantheon.
Staff were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend it!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ran every morning in Luxembourg Gardens. Staff was outstanding. Nice lounge area on the ground floor for reading, an evening drink or just hanging out.

Quaint boutique hotel located in a great area. Easy walk to Notre Dame, metro and shops. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was a bit on the small side, even for Paris standards, but it was clean and nicely decorated.
A computer station is on site and WiFi is free in public spaces. There's an onsite business center. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Tour/ticket assistance, multilingual staff, and concierge services are also featured at Hôtel Relais Saint Jacques. This 4-star Paris hotel is smoke free.
