Elegant hotel with Parisian flair
Pros:Everything!
Cons:Nothing.
Location:The location was near Luxumbourg Gardens and a short stroll to the Saint-Sulpice metro. Everything else was a metro ride away or 15-40 minute walk.
I spent countless hours online looking for "just the perfect" hotel for our first trip to Paris, and I'm happy to say that I found it at the Villa Madame. From the moment you enter, this smartly decorated hotel makes you feel welcome. The decor is lovely, the garden area (even during a dreary and cold November week) is charming, and the common areas invite a space for reading or enjoying a glass of Bordeaux. The room we stayed in (Room 27) was spacious, beautifully decorated (to match the color schemes throughout the hotel), had a very comfortable bed and was immaculate. The housekeeping staff took care of every request. We also booked Room 21 (twin beds) for our teenage children and it had an odd layout, but it made you realize it followed the lines of the original structure. The kids loved it. Every morning we heard the laughter of young children playing during recess at the nearby school. (This may be loud to some people, but we found it charming). Our special thanks to Matthew for helping us find a clinic when my husband had an asthma attack. Pierre and Frederick were also very helpful. Merci to all! We loved the hotel!
