'Torre' accommodation dating back to the 12th century, whose conservative restoration was completed in 2014. Restoration made with materials and techniques that still allow us to appreciate its ancient charm. Wood and stone are the absolute protagonists of this recovery. Accommodation of 120 square meters, with independent entrance, accessed by an external stone staircase. Three double bedrooms all with bathroom, kitchen with wood burning fireplace and living room. All rooms have windows or openings that overlook the surrounding countryside. The interior furnishings are born from research based on the recovery of what makes history and according to a more modern economy of reuse, while not giving up on functionality. This is why modern elements and innovative techniques find space such as solar panels for hot water, roof insulation, windows with high technical efficiency.
A spectacular rural setting that is quintessentially Tuscan. A great base to explore this very very varied corner of Tuscany. A car is essential, as is the ability to be happy with the presence of other guests as this a shared property with three other apartments adjoining. The two pools are above ground, and are also shared. Silvia is a very good and responsive host, and it was nice to have a welcome bottle of local whine and olive oil as welcome gifts.
What an amazing holiday! Beautiful house, restored to a high standard- we were not expecting such a great place! The view is amazing across the Tuscan countryside. We found it so relaxing, with plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed our week there. The kids loved playing in the pool, on the swings and generally exploring the farm. We enjoyed exploring the vineyards and olive groves too- there is so much outside space. Silvia is a great host- she cooked us the most amazing Tuscan meal! She was there when we needed her but never invaded our privacy. It is close enough to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano for day trips, all of which were pretty spectacular. We would 100% recommend this house and would definitely stay there again.
