The room was clean and smelled nice. I did not like that alot of the staff i encountered did not speak english. Also my sunday breakfast was horrible. But Monday breakfast was better and the server was very nice.

Place needs some remodeling, old carpet , smell really bad. Door jam, had to wait for maintenance for a long time to enter after the first day, rooms was not clean.

Half the building condemned as unsafe since September of last year, including the pool and restaurant. ‘Continental’ breakfast became a ‘light continental’ breakfast between the time I booked and arrived. And the breakfast was poor in general. Totally disappointing. At least the golf course works.

The Grand Palms is a place that probably was once indeed "grand," but that was a long time ago. Shabby and neglected are two words that come to mind. My one-night stay there a few days ago was not good. Let's start with the state of the room. Judging from the dated decor and carpet, the worn paint, and the mosquitos I had to chase out of the bathroom, I'd say it was subpar at best. But the kicker is that there was some vulgar graffiti written on the wall next to the vanity -- hard to miss. I reported it to the front desk, something housekeeping should have done. For the sake of decorum, I won't post the pictures I took. The room telephone was there purely for decoration, worthless even for calling the front desk. The TV was next to worthless; the maintenance guy explained it could not get any major networks, so watching the news was out of the question. In the morning I followed the signs to the restaurant - only to find there is no restaurant. A continental breakfast was served in a makeshift room. Incredibly there were no plates, though there was food that demanded a plate. The staff charges $8.50 to park your car -- something that came as a shock to me. I could not find it in the Expedia write-up. I protested but paid the fee. Later, because of the graffiti I reported, the staff said they'd refund this fee to me. They lied. In short, even if you're a diehard golfer, you can do better than this dump... without trying hard.

Not enough towels. The phone doesn't work in the rooms. No one to bring extra towels to the room. The carpet floors dirty. My feet were black from walking in the room. Poor maintenance on everything.
