We needed a place to stay overnight on our drive back from the upper peninsula and they were very accommodating, but upon entering the room there was an intensely strong deodorizer that hit you. We were exhausted from the days adventure and a six hour drive. We tried to relax for a while but the smell began to make my wife nauseous. We went for a walk and decided to get some dinner, but my wife continued to feel very ill, to the point that we just boxed up our food. I contacted the front desk and explained our issue and he offered to put us into a new room but it was only marginally better smelling. My wife stated that she would just sleep in our car but I decided to just drive the remaining four hours home. My wife is feeling better now but we would never have been ok in the hotel with that strong of smell. I am hoping to speak with someone about a refund and this in no reflection the staff. They did an amazing job trying to help us. Thank you, Matthew Williamson

weird light in bathroom-on a timer. Bathroom door swollen which made opening and closing difficult-gauged the floor. Unit front door very difficult to close- weather stripping too low.. Staircase up to second level dirty and gross

We were glad the room was ready for us earlier than the check in time, but the room had not been stocked with some items and we needed to call to have given to us. The room phone was staticky and had a hard time making a connection to call the main desk. What was unpleasant when housekeeping left the garbage bin right next to our door. We ended up moving the bin ourselves. Also, we believe in recycliing and there were no recycling bins in the rooms.

Would prefer luxury vinyl flooring versus the carpet. The snacks and chili provided was appreciated. Katja at the Front Desk is an exceptional employee, very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

While our room was clean and the breakfast adequate, the property on a whole is very run down. There were some sketchy residents who seemed to live there. We stayed there years ago and it was wonderful. I was hopeful when Wyndham took over, but unfortunately was disappointed.

The front staff was okay. The filth around the eggs from previous day was still present. outdated poor condition of equipment refrig. outlets,shower chair toilet seat all need replaced. The food area was not very clean. Door frame was not sealed large area of sunlight around base of door. I liked the fronthouse staff very pleasant.
