The room was in fair condition, and the staff were very kind and accommodating. While this is a hostel, the space we rented was located on the floor above the main hostel area.
Unfortunately, we experienced a significant issue during our stay. The unit next to ours was extremely loud from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., with inappropriate noises that were very uncomfortable to listen to. The walls are quite thin and the doors are not well sealed, so you can hear everything clearly. I messaged the hosts about the situation as it was excessive at a normally quiet time but did not receive a response, and no solution was offered. As this happened on our first night, it made us anxious about the remainder of our stay.
There was also another family staying on our floor, and I can’t imagine how uncomfortable that situation may have been for them as well.
I understand that this island has a reputation as a “party” destination and that noise can sometimes be unavoidable. However, the lack of response or action regarding the concern was disappointing. They never brought up my concern. And for that matter I do not recommend any families or people who are sensitive to noise.
