Put Family First! Come and make some memories at Lazy Bear Lodge :-)
Memories to last a lifetime are made here in the Great Smoky Mountains, in this luxury mountain cabin. Snuggle in front of a cozy fire or in the private hot tub. Relax on one of four decks, play pool or foosball, take a swim in the community pool or watch a movie in your very own private theater!
We're only a mile from the Pigeon Forge Parkway via good roads, and privately-owned and managed for that personal touch.
Lazy Bear Lodge is nestled in the foothills of the Smokies, less than a mile from the Pigeon Forge parkway. The rustic mountain atmosphere extends inside, where 3,000 square feet of living space filled with natural wood finishes, wood floors, and a classy warm ambiance welcomes you to your home-away-from-home. Enjoy complementary gourmet Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate in the well-equipped kitchen, with all the comforts of home.
Step through the French doors and onto one of the three decks. Spend your days grilling steaks, enjoying a favorite cocktail, or soaking in the private hot tub while keeping an eye out for local wildlife! Bears, Raccoons and other critters are common in the area.
When you're ready to head inside, gather in front of the stone fireplace to keep nice and toasty warm. This home has everything you need to stay entertained, including flat-screen TVs in every room, a real home theater with theater-style seating and a massive 75" Theater TV, a Pool Table, and a Foosball table. EVERY ROOM in the house has a Smart TV with access to all the popular streaming channels such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime, AppleTV, Disney+ and many more (Note: Some channels require your own login credentials). We provide a PAID subscription to YouTubeTV which includes national networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN as well as many live sports channels such as ESP1/2/3, Fox Sports, CBS Sports and much, much, more. The Living Room and Game Rooms also have DVD/Blu-ray players.
In the kitchen, you'll find stainless steel appliances and all the cooking necessities you expect at home. Whip up a feast for your loved ones and gather around the long wooden dining table to enjoy your meal. A washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer are also included for your convenience, along with all necessary linens & towels, soaps & detergents -- other than shampoo which we consider a personal item.
And don't forget the pool and the basketball courts! The resort's community pool is only a short 500 ft walk from the cabin and is open 10am-10pm during the warm seasons. In the winter season, stay warm in the private hot tub! Nothing keeps the kids happy like a pool â when you can pry them away from the cabin's pool table, foosball table, and the massive home theater system, that is! Bring your X-Box or Playstation and connect it to the big TV and keep those kiddies entertained!
With Great Smoky Mountain National Park only a short 20-minute drive away, the adventures are endless! Pack your hiking boots and be sure to bring your camera, as some of the country's most remarkable mountain scenery is right at your fingertips. When the snow begins to fall, head over to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area to spend the day cruising along the slopes, and then end your day at the Smoky Mountain Brewery for a taste of local craft beers before heading home.
Explore everything Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. Whether it's a mountain hike, a causal walk, skiing through the Smoky Mountains, or a fun-filled visit to nearby Dollywood!
The cabin is privately owned and managed by me and my wife -- no Property Managers here! If you have a problem you call and I answer the phone personally, not some call center who-knows-where. If you need something, let us know what we can do to make your stay wonderful!

Spent an extended Easter weekend here (Fri-Mon) with 7 people and it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was as-described/pictured and this was the first time I never had to contact the property owners about ANYTHING, all supplies were there as described and everything worked as expected. Check in and out were easy breezy. Everyone had their own space to retreat to, with my wife and I taking the master upstairs, each of my two kids taking one of the other upstairs bedrooms, my parents (who are in their 70's) taking the main floor bedroom, which was great b/c they didn't have deal with stairs, and my brother taking one of the basement bedrooms. The proximity to everything in Pigeon Forge was priceless. We were 5 minutes to the Old Mill area, 10 mins from the Island, 12 minutes to the Titanic. Access was easy, just one big hill, but relative to other cabins I've been to, very simple. This part might seem trivial - but the silverware and towels were very high quality, as most rentals seem to cut corners in these areas, but there's not cutting corners in this property. The hot tub, pool table, and movie theater setup in the basement were all big hits. Overall, very spacious, quite cozy, close to attractions, easy to access. Checked all the boxes and then some. Would definitely recommend.
Our group had a great stay at this cabin! It was clean and accommodated all of us. The location is great and close to many fun attractions. The hosts were quick to respond when asked questions. The hot tub was great and the game room was fun.
House was perfect there was plenty of space. There was no one checking out the day we were arriving and they let us check in early! Hot tub was nice. We had lots of fun and made plenty of memories with our friends and family!
we were happy, and it was very nice... but a few notes: pedestal sinks look nice, but if you don't have vanities, would be nice to have cabinets in the bathrooms to sit items on. bedroom that connects to upstairs shared bathroom the switch didn't turn ceiling fan on, and that bathroom fan didn't work. No broom, but there was a dustpan, and we wanted to sweep the leaves while we were there. Make more storage space for the kitchen, since there is no pantry. Thermostat upstairs didn't seem to work. Bottom left bedroom nothing comes out of vent so it was hot. Guests in the bottom left bedroom, when the A/C was running makes door rattle, so had trouble sleeping unless opened up the door. And, downstairs bedroom there sounds like there was a leak inside the wall when showers were on.
Our family had a wonderful stay. All of the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms. There was plenty of room across the 3 levels for everyone to spread out and never feel crowded. The location was in the heart of Pigeon Forge with quick access to restaurants and activities. Weâd definitely stay here again.
The cabin was clean, family friendly, spacious and had plenty of room for everyone - we had 9 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 toddler. The boys and men loved playing pool downstairs. The ladies enjoyed the hot tub. We all enjoyed the wrap around deck that overlooked a marvelous tree line. A new gas grill on the deck was my husband's favorite place to be. I did a lot of cooking in the kitchen that was nicely equipped with a variety of pots and pans and dish wear. The host was very easy to communicate with through the VRBO app; and we are looking forward to hopefully staying there again.
The cabin was perfect for our visit. Our group ranged in ages from 5 to 80, and everyone had a great time. The location to the local attractions let us get to them quickly, and not spend time sitting in traffic.
Perfect for our family reunion. Close to all attractions and the kitchen was well stocked. Though we didnât really use it the game room with the very large TV and pool table would be great if kids came. Since our reunion included very senior adults they stayed on the main and upper floors except for me. I loved the bedroom downstairs as it was very quiet. The host was quick to respond when we noticed that there was only one dishwasher pod. We all gave the place 5 stars!
We had a family reunion with a few staying in a couple of hotels while the rest of us at the cabin. The cabin was in the perfect location for our situation. It is close to everything we wanted to do. Cabin is beautiful and we enjoyed staying there . We had a few minor issues such as the coffee pot wasn't clean but everything else was clean. We used both futons but only found linen for one. The hot tub didn't get hot, just warm ( maybe we didn't do something right). The jetted tub didn't work but again, maybe our fault. We enjoyed the nice size table. We would rate this a 4.6.
