My key will not get me in the pool. I got two free drink tickets that were expired. The desk clerk told me my room was on the other side of the property. After moving my vehicle I realized my room was straight above where I originally parked. I had a nice drive arpund the parking lot. Still have no pool access

If you like reading reviews when looking for a place to stay like I do, go no further because my husband and I loved "the way back" so much. From the cleanliness, comfortable bed, soft pillows and drinks at the bar. The pool and Jacuzzi area is very cute. Anytime we are in this area we will definitely stay there again.

Very nice upscale renovated motel.

High-end nicely renovated motel. Facilities including lobby, bar, gym, rooms, parking, etc. all fully renovated and in really good shape. The hotel condition in general is great and the location is perfect; very walkable and many attactions close by. The only minor issue was the noise. Noise from the main corridor leaks through the gaps in the main door frame and the thin corridor wall. My wife had nice earplugs that worked like a charm and took care of the "problem", without those getting to sleep was going to be a challenge.

Although pet friendly, there is nowhere to take your dog except down the road. The executive suite was very spacious and comfortable. There are no microwaves in the rooms, we needed one to heat our dogs food. Restored to heating in hot water which actually worked ok. The parking lot needs a good cleaning. It was a good 3 day stay at the Wayback

Overall the experience was great. Conveniently, directly across from the Island was nice. Plenty of places around only around 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. Traffic was to be expected. Room was very nice and up to date, bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and spacious although it could have been a little cleaner. Parking wasn’t the best and some of the other guests were a little noisy, but it’s to be expected with the type of environment Pigeon Forge is. Definitely recommend!

The Wayback hotel is a fun retro hotel. We stayed in the winter so the pool wasn’t open. There was a hot tub outside though that looked to be a good size. Very clean and quiet even though all of the room entrances are outside.

We did a overnight stay and it was excellent. Everything was within walking distance and the restaurant at the hotel was good we had apps after dinner along the parkway.

I am a huge fan of Mid-Century Modern style. The decor is what sold me on this hotel vs so many options in the area. The renovation choices are tasteful. Made my stay more memorable for my birthday. The lady at check in Feb 8 may have been new or in training, not sure. She seemed overwhelmed with two people waiting. After waiting a bit, an employee from the diner or bar stepped up to take car of me, and she was very nice and helpful. The gentleman the next morning checking out was friendly and professional. I took photos of the lobby and diner. I will be back!
