I liked this hilltop complex off Dan Fox Drive in Pittsfield. It's a vacation resort where the operator offers daily and weekly unit rentals. The building complex has no restaurant or dining (lots near) but ample free parking, nice common area spaces and lobby, a pool and hot tub area, a movie night in their large function room and grounds that include benches and reclining Adirondack style chairs in areas off parking lots and service road up the hill into the complex. Rooms have had updates and feature (in the units I stayed in) a king bed with large bath featuring a tub shower, a fully applianced kitchen with dishware, glasses cups and silverware and a adjoining living area featuring a pull out sofa and chairs, dining table and 4 chairs, and a desk and chair. The unit offers free wifi and depending on what side of the building you're on some views of the hills around through the sliding glass door in the living room and the bedroom. Heating and cooling is a packaged terminal unit in the exterior wall in the living area. There is a television monitor with remote in the living area and bedroom as well as two closets in the unit (one in bedroom other in living area). Each floor is served by an elevator and stairs. Free laundry too. Just bring detergent.
I found the unit clean and comfortable for several night stays. Note a separate "resort fee" for the stay beyond the daily rate plus taxes of $20 for a day or a week is added to your stay bill. Some may not like this.
