Carl was great, he was very nice, gave us a map with places to visit and recommendations for dinning. The property was in really good condition, very spacious and has everything you'd need when travelling with kids. There are nice beaches around and you can enjoy beautiful sunsets every day. Overall, me and my family had a great time and will definitely come back... Cheers!

New Years stay
We had a lovely time at the Sanctuary. The unit was clean, well stocked and had ample space for a family of 4. Although we did not use Playa Azul, we made our way to Nosara (about 20 minutes away) daily and hit most of the beaches along the way on either side of the condo. Carl was very attentive and gave us many ideas for dinner, entertainment and beaches.

A quiet place to relax
We had a great time at the Sanctuary. The condo was spacious, clean, and it had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There's not much nearby which is a good thing if you're looking for a quiet place to stay, which is what we were looking for. Carl and one of the guys from his staff received us and helped us to carry our bags to the condo, he was extremely attentive, friendly and always willing to answer our questions or help us with anything we needed. He gave us a map with all the nearby places we could go to, and recommended a couple of restaurants as well, he also takes care of some of the animals that are in his property even if they are not his, you can tell he's really trying to make it a better place for everyone and really loves it. There are two small stores at around a 15min drive in San Juanillo and Marbella where we found all we needed. We spent most of the time out exploring nearby beaches like Playa Azul, Pitahaya, Ostional, and Lagarto. An SUV or 4x4 vehicule is recommended since the streets around are dirt, they were in a good condition considering it was raining most of the time we stayed. We also had a problem with one of the tires one of the evenings, but the staff was very helpful in giving us options the next morning on places where we could fix it. We're extremely grateful for all of Carl's help and his staff as well, and would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax.
