"This is my third time staying at El Emperador and it’s been great. The manager Gervacio and the staff are amazing. You’re literally 30 feet from the beach and walking distance from a ton of restaurants & bars. If you stay there get a junior suite or higher as those have excellent views and are more spacious."

"Hotel Rio Malecon is a great hotel! Friendly staff and an excellent restaurant, Coexist Bistro (Italian/Mexican). The property itself is a little dated but the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfy and the air conditioning works great! There is a unique pool and lounge area in the courtyard too! You can't beat the location right on the malecon with tons to do and see all within walking distance. See you soon!"

"My husband and I had a great experience here. This hotel is a gem in the city of PV. I would certainly stay here again. The staff is friendly and so accommodating. The back gate of the property is in the heart of the city and an easy walk to the Romantic zone. Loved the historic feel of the hotel. The two hang ups are there are LOTS of bells from the church, it was hard to get use to and there are a lot of stairs so if you aren't use to walking stairs you may struggle here. Otherwise an amazing place to stay. Beautiful details everywhere! "
