Love love love

We happened upon this hotel by chance and it is one of our favorite hotels up to this point. As soon as we stepped into the lobby we knew it was going to be perfect. The hotel lobby is the picture of a forgotten time. The dark wood floor, the velvet couches and chairs, and the open fire place set the mood immediately. The onsite restaurant was delicious and comparable in pricing to other restaurants in the area. The rooms are nicely kept with very comfortable and clean bedding. The touches of real flowers and sparkling or still water were perfect. There is an indoor widow's walk that one can check out while staying at the hotel. The free bikes and ocean walk are to nice to pass up. We loved this hotel and I cannot wait to visit again. Everyone we encountered on property were great!

Great experience

Overall everything was terrific. Loved the staff-all of them very friendly & efficient. Only bad thing I would say is the Tennis Director, the older man, was very dismissive with an obvious disdain for BPI guests vs. members of the club. Twice he displayed an arrogant attitude to my wife that was simply unacceptable. However, the young French tennis pro was terrific and deserves praise. Not sure if you have any control over his behavior but thought you should be aware.

Room was very comfortable and spacious. Elevator is vintage manual and requires staff to operate. Menu choices very good,but limited dining options in area. We came here for the cliff walk and Winslow Homer studio, only to discover the studio is not open for tours until 2023. Still, pleasant walks in neighborhood.

They should not be allowed to rent out room 101 (our room). In a hotel which we chose for the beautiful ocean views, we had a view of the walkway to the pool and the pool looked right into the other side of our room. And, we had to walk through the restaurant to get to our room. It was a disgrace.

Beautiful views, but it’s VERY quiet... almost tip toe too quiet... a little music overhead so you didn’t hear your neighbors stepping or full conversations from the lobby would have been nice. The view of the ocean, dining experience, spacious seating throughout the lobby was wonderful. The only dissatisfying part of the hotel was the AC system in the room. The AC system in our room was semi functional. The first night the room was at 75 degrees and we adjusted it down to 70. The AC system never got to 70 and ended up blowing warm air all night. After speaking with the front desk we were informed that you can only adjust the the temperature 3 degrees at a time or it won’t cool the room. The next night we adjusted the temp within 3 degree increments and at first it worked but it never held. After speaking with the front desk they sent someone up to fix it but later in the day when we returned from the beach the room was once again warm. Eventually a window unit was brought up and the gent who installed it said he just removed it from another room so apparently this is a known issue about the AC systems. The hotel staff was very kind and pleasant and offered some compensation for the trouble. It baffles me that a hotel of this caliber doesn’t invest in improving the AC system in each room. This was the only dissatisfying part about the hotel, everything else was great.

Fantastiskt hotell, fantastiska omgivningar. Som barnfamilj passade vi iegentligen nte in bland den något äldre publiken, men vi hade tre underbara dagar i Prouts Neck. Bra rum, härligt poolhäng, bra mat på hotellet och på stranden och fantastiska stränder och strövområden.
