Lovely year round vacation home on the Narragansett Bay, located in quaint Portsmouth on Aquidneck Island. This home offers wonderful, ever changing, views of the bay; Mt. Hope Bridge, Bristol Harbor, Hog Island Lighthouse and Panoramic Sunsets. With this nautical styled house, get the feeling of being lodged in the Captain’s quarters without having to leave the shore. This home offers the luxury of a Chef’s kitchen; 36” Wolf Range, fully equipped with large pots to boil your lobster or a New England clam boil. The home includes a steam shower and king - Sleep Number bed in the Master Loft. There is radiant heat in main level and both bathrooms, a queen bed on the main level bedroom, central vacuum, washer/dryer, beverage cooler, Direct TV and wireless internet.

The home is located on the west shore between Carnegie’s Private Golf Course and the Newport Beach Club. The house is in a spectacular location and is every inch a well cared stay. I was greeted warmly with a tour of the home. Thoughtful amenities were left for our enjoyment. It was wonderful to wake up by the ocean each morning, and we were lucky to have beautiful weather all week. This was our third stay at Jan and John’s beautiful property. The views are spectacular even during a nor’easter as we had a front row seat to the storm. As always Jan has thought of every comfort and convenience from plenty of plush towels to extremely comfortable bedding, and even providing snacks and drinks for our arrival. We didn’t even feel the need to leave the house. This is our favorite rental in Portsmouth and we will definitely be returning for our fourth stay.

We love it so much here. The hosts are wonderful and always helpful. If peace, quiet, and beauty are what you're looking for in a vacation home, this is it. It's also strategically located within easy driving distance of Newport, Bristol, Warren and many other fun places, as well as nature reserves, beaches, etc. There are a couple of great grocery stores nearby as well. We are already planning our next stay.

This place is perfect for a couple. The views of the bay are amazing, and worth it. The master bed room is open upstairs, so a big family would be tough. The master bath has a steam shower that was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place!

So Close Yet So Far Away

We live near by and yet staying here felt like we were REALLY on vacation. The house is so well constructed that the waves and wind never got in. Being on the water is exciting like staying in a tree house and on a boat combined. Our hosts were lovely as well.
