The Space: Demilune Lodge is a quaint log cabin that has been thoughtfully updated and colourfully decorated with vintage rugs, collected trinkets, and vibrant artwork. It gives feelings of a writer's or artist's retreat in the woods. It is endlessly cozy, and every window has a view of either; the lake, the magical protected wetlands, the forest, or the vast field backing onto the inlet into South Bay. Needless to say, privacy and nature are abound on the 3 acre property at Demilune Lodge.
Take in the beauty and sights of the property from your choice of the walk-out stone patio, second-story balcony, the secluded and serene firepit area, or the hot tub. The outdoor living options are endless. When it's time to recharge inside, you'll find there is no shortage of cozy corners to choose from. Our favourite? Tunes on and lounging on the sectional next to the wood-burning stove - preferably while someone is mixing up something lovely to sip on in the kitchen.

A beautiful spot, the cabin is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had a great time on the property and exploring the area. We canât wait to come back.
This was a wedding anniversary getaway for my hubby and I. We had an enjoyable stay⊠itâs quiet and serene, we really could only hear the birds, which was lovely. We really enjoyed the hot tub. We appreciated the water cooler.
We have a few recommendations - we had to contact the property manager on our arrival day and would have appreciated a welcome message that day instead.
-Suggestion for owner to install hooks for purse/jackets upon entry into your cottage, in order for guests to hang their belongings.
-The bathroom storage also could be improved, as there are not effective or enough places to hang towels and store toiletries.
-Also, we could hear mice scurrying around in the attic or in the ceiling walls on a few occasions during the weekend we were there; however, there was no evidence of mice inside the cottage. -The cleaning fee is steep and we found that upon entry into the cottage the daybed on the main floor had not been cleaned.
-We wanted a campfire one of the nights but there was a fire ban, unfortunately, so a TV / DVD player / Netflix access would have been a nice alternative when outdoor activities are limited.
-Easy access to conveniences/toiletries/incase of emergency items would have been a nice touch (we could not find extra toilet paper - had to search for it. We also ended up needing feminine hygiene products, but had to run into town for this).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return if these conveniences were improved.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the property. It is quite private, the home and yard are lovely, and everything we needed was included (sheets, towels, cooking tools,etc.). We had minor issues our first night with the carbon monoxide detector beeping, and the hot tub being cold, but the property manager was communicative and resolved the issue. We had no other issues at the property and would absolutely come back in the future.
We enjoyed our quick weekend away at Demilune! The property is amazing, and the cottage is very cozy. Full kitchen, great hot tub and comfy beds.
Parker was responsive and a great help as we had to do some modifications due to changes on our end.
Would love to come back and enjoy the property in the summer weather!
